No. Inoculation is. Making a clean syringe or a clean plate and then getting into the jar without introducing a contam is the step where many mess up.

thank you for the info. Ill make sure to pay very close attention to detail during inoculation next time and see if I can pull it off. So far this super cake is spotless

I took your advice, I bought a new bag of perlite and its about 3-4 inches deep with perlite now (its a long tub and the bag of perlite was small). Ill add more holes after this super cake. Its fruiting beautifully right now and I don't wanna mess with its mojo. Ill post pictures when the little baby pin heads get bigger and the knots start forming more fruits

alrite, I've fruited the super cake and its a success so far, no sign of contam and hella pins and knots.
I have another tub being prepared just like the one fruiting, but instead of fruiting as a super cake, i was wondering if it would be wise to break it up into a mono tub full of a coir/verm mix.
Heres some pics of the progress so far,

That tub is the one thats colonizing right now, i don't think its quite done just yet so ill give it another week.
