Going to a festival alone?

Has anyone done it? I'm going this Sunday to a week-long heavy metal festival, I'm super stoked but I also have my worries.. I've been to concerts before but in my country there are no big festivals like these. How easy is it usually to make new friends? Also, what drugs (other than booze and weed) are common? I'm asking specifically about metal. Will I find things like molly or coke?

Week long heavy metal festival.
But to answer your question, people do this all the time. Many have fun, some are never heard from again. Crap shoot.

Yeah been to a festival alone, found plenty of drugs, made friends for the weekend, you'll find meth easily there, enjoy.

Man, I'd get such a bad headache. I love metal, but that will be an overload. Bring some attenuated earbuds if you wanna enjoy music afterwards
There will definitely be meth and weed. Probably could find coke, heroin, mushrooms, maybe acid if you're lucky (but it'll probably be an RC).

I'm not sure about the specifics but I have heard drugs are pretty common in Israel, but it always kinda puts you in a bad position to go to someplace unfamiliar looking for drugs. It is usually better to feel it out, and go to the festival because you like the music and atmosphere.
I'm not sure how it works in practice, but I think Israel has pretty serious penalties for even personal amounts of drugs. Because of this I'm sure research chemicals and price inflation are rampant. Your best bet would probably be to take a trip international someplace more progressive when it comes to prohibition if you want to binge. I wouldn't even want to get tied up in that scene in Israel, though everyone I've met from there has been very cool so I'm sure you'd be able to make friends and have a good time.

Israel has their own "Burning Man" event now, called "Midburn" . This was the second year they've held it....It happens around May & June.
I don't consider burning man events to be a "festival", there probably won't be much metal , but something I'd suggest you look into.

The Midburn event is the official regional event organized by the Midburn community – the Israeli Burning Man community. For 5 days, a temporary city is set up in the Negev desert, creating a platform which will allow a communal life style, creativity, art and radical self-expression.
The Midburn event is not your usual festival, with big acts booked to play on massive stages. In fact, it’s more of a city than a festival, wherein almost everything that happens is created entirely by its citizens, who are active participants in the event.
