You believed a list that said ICBMs are covered by the second amendment,

Sure. My little ICBM question put you in a corner. Either you would reveal that you think the second amendment has limits and ICBMs are not protected, or you reveal that you are loony radical who believes that individuals can own weapons of mass destruction.
I'm not surprised you turned out to be a loon.

The second amendment is to combat a tyrannical government. It should be obvious whether or not we really need ICBMs.... Koods is begging the question.

I got a .22 SR/LR from my grandpa, its single shot and from his scouting experience. Not much of a gun for killing, just wabbits and target practice! I have some knifes and stuff, a safe.

ICBMs ARE protected by the second amendment, for use by military personnel only. Obviously the second amendment doesn't protect private ownership of WMDs. This argument is fruitless.

Not to stir up the gun rant anymore but just today in Chattanoog, TN, 24-year-old Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, shot into military recruiting offices wounding several, then drove to a Navy office and killed four marines. http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/16/us/tennessee-naval-reserve-shooting/

Well look at that... One of those places was a gun free zone yet someone was shot and killed.

I believe crime dropped quite a bit in Australia after that law passed but not really sure. Either way, how do you think it would go down if tomorrow no one was allowed to own a gun in the US?
1 in 3 Americans have guns already, so crime would just rise. A large number have them.. *gasp*.. illegally. The cat is out of the bag and it will never go back.
1 in 3 americans do have guns but the number of guns in the hands of citizens who own them legally is far higher then criminals with guns, as for england and australia, their violent crime rates are high as fuck, the UK is considered the most dangerous place in europe and they compare the violence to that of south africa... all that with no guns... except that the criminals still have guns, they still have mass shootings, they still have high gun crime especially given that they have no legal guns, in 2004 there were 24,000 recorded gun crimes, the ban took effect in 1996, they've also banned knives but they have a nearly a murder per day with knives and 25,000 knife attacks per year
compare their legally owned guns to the number in the US and the US has a miniscule number of crimes being committed with guns in comparison. and if you look at the number, the US has a higher homicide rate but we've already established that many of those are self defense, the US statistics do not differentiate intentional murder, manslaughter and self defense in these statistics while the UK has their own means or recording them just as japan does which skews the statistics in relation to the US
Quote:
Pre-1997 Australia didn't have handguns either, so they are a poor example. They have never had anywhere near the number of firearms America has, and murder rates in Australia are about the same now as they were then.
australia passed their gun ban the same year as the UK, their homicide rates were already falling and they still are but not as fast, in fact it's stayed fairly consistent over the last 15 years. Australians and the english both are regretting their choices to allow guns to be taken

both were gun free zones pursuant to legislation from the clinton administration, it's the same reason the fort hood shooting was able to have such a high number of casualties. there are no firearms permitted in military installations outside of the armory, shooting ranges, training and by MPs so that means no guns in recruiting offices

Woah I just realized something, I am all for much needed gun regulation, but if they were make out right illegal for people (at least the majority of them) then prisons would become more overpopulated than they already are, on top of ridiculous drug crimes
