4g makes your phone better, how?
most places are GPRS still if lucky, sure if you go to New York I'm sure you can get 4g in some places for a few minutes
it's not like you need more than gprs to surf the web gprs is covered 95% of the country here , 4g is covered in like 10%
samsung phones are just useless, you cannot go hunting mushrooms with such one, or go out in the field, no GPS coverage because no signal... lousy signal with Samsung phones I'm sure you're happy for yours, but that doesn't make it a good phone , most people complain about its signal quality

That was one of the most misinformed posts I've ever read.
I've had many phones, including multiple samsungs.
4g is all over, not just big cities, I get in 95% of the time, and I don't even live in a city. I even get 4g out in the woods in the middle of nowhere.
I get GPS signal literally everywhere.

GPS depends on satellites and has virtually total coverage. It has nothing to do with 4G. And Web browsing on gprs is Hellingly slow. I don't see how you didn't notice these things when you were using smart phones

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
As usual though.

GPS depends on satellites, not 4G coverage. Back to the drawing board. I never said that there is total 4G coverage in the US. Learn to read.

It's not our fault you live in a shitty under developed third world country but that explains you're complete and utter lack of research done on topics before you start posting like the leading researcher at Harvard.
I'd probably start making shit up of I didn't have access to the Internet myself. Let alone running water.
I'm sorry you still poop in an outhouse but you have no idea how a phone works so stop running your mouth with blatant misinformation. 4g covers almost the entirety of developed nations.

4g coverage of the whole world in 2012, 3 years ago. tell me more about how 4g is only in 10percent of wherever you live. that was 3 years ago. Ever heard of Moores law I'm sure you haven't but that means technology grows exponentially. so by this point we probably have ten times the coverage this map has marked. You're uneducated and uniformed. Please stop posting your ignorant made up facts and statistics in every God damn thread. You've quickly taken the spot to the most ignorant mother fucker I've ever seen in my entire life.

I never said anything about 4G coverage. You must be referring to lessismore's posts. We're not the same person.
And you misunderstand Moore's Law, which refers to the miniaturization of transistors and the production cost per transistor, not technology in general.

Again. Ignorant and wrong.

I actually have a PhD on the dynamics of innovation, one of my primary cases being the lithography industry. Nice of you to do a little Web search, but it's no substitute for the actual research (both theoretical and empirical) I've done. Do yourself a favor and drop the subject.
