Getting a new amp. Need some recommendations for ~$700

So I've had a Line 6 Spider II for like eleven years Finally got an LP Studio about a year ago and next paycheck I'll have saved the for a decent amp (used of course). But I don't know a lot about amps. I've been reading up the last few days but when it comes to such matters, I always like to tap into the chronically underrated knowledge-base of [tech-savvy] weirdo psychedelic enthusiasts.
We play experimental mathy stuff that sometimes gets noisy, so it's gotta take effects well (which seems to correspond with having a great clean tone). The main players on my board are a Whammy pedal, Digidelay, EHX Soul Food, and a Hall of Fame reverb. I'm really trying to avoid having to mic it for practice sessions so I'm looking for something loud enough to be heard over drums without entirely sacrificing the headroom.
I'm gonna go to some music shops and try some stuff out in a day or two, just trying to get familiar with some choices ahead of time. I think the Orange tubes that would be loud enough are outta my price range, but I tried a 60 watt Orange Crush the other day and wasn't terribly impressed with it. Currently planning on testing out a Hot Rod Deluxe, Twin Reverb, and a Vox AC30c2. I feel like there's gotta be a lot of lesser-known amps that'd fit my bill though.
Ahleuchatistas, Battles, Lightning Bolt, Piglet, and Hella, are big influences if that means anything to anyone. Been listening to these guys' EP a lot lately too. It rules.
Any advice or recommendations would be awesome.

mesa boogie triple rectifier. Probably won't get it for 700 unless its hot or the guy is desperate.

I'd just go with the vox. There's so many ways to boost your volume if you really needed it. I think you'd be fine with the ac30 alone, it's a powerful amp.

Check craigslist if you have not already.
I have seen many many many sweet vintage amps on locally for like 3-400 and up. Some really great deals.
If I didn't already have a decent tube amp I would have snagged one by now...
Also whats wrong with using a mic? You just don't want to have to use a mic?
I have a 120wat tube amp and I prefer using a mic and or its line out as I can dial in some great tones at low volume levels and just turn it up on the PA if needed.
Plus tube amps sounds great running through a nice mic. Especially a tube mic

Good way to test out amps but I highly reccomend buying elsewhere, for new or used gears. Shops tend to be very overpriced IME.
Craigslist has a lot of people needing to get rid of old gear so you can find some major scores.
Also I just noticed 1/4th of the related threads are mine Must have been around a year ago I got my tube map then.

Haven't even had to replace the tubes yet, when I finally do it will be pretty expensive as it has at least 8 tubes in it
Buying 8 nice tubes will probably be like 50-100$ at least.
