Fruited this cake about 3 days ago for a second flush. It got some pins, and showing signs of good growth. But today I come home and I see this shit on my cakes today hopefully someone can tell me what it is. Its probably bacteria...Should I throw them out right away or will they still fruit you think?

Its hard to tell with the pictures. The cake looks really bruised and aged so it might be secondary metabolites.

Any slime or odor? If it starts to beome slimy or smell different then it is bacteria.

As mycelium ages it usually turns yellow. Generally from being too dry. Your bruising is also an indication of it being too dry. Later flushes need misting amped up.
