Myclium Collonization Question.

Ok I innoc'd about 4-5 days ago. Used sterilizing techniques (alcahol swap on injection site and needel, after flaming needle) So I innoc the grain-based mycobag w/ an entier syringe of Golden Teacher. (First timer mistake)
I'm using a tub-in-tub w/ a 150watt aquarium heater and I just installed (2) 8" Bubble wands, and the biggest double pumper $20 can get, I got a 15watt Blue bulb and will be doing that part after collonization has begun.
So far there are no visual signs of Myclium but the bag warmer than the terranium which is a sign of growth right? There are obvious signs of humidity inside the bag as well.
I check the temps everyday, and they are stable ranging from (79-85)F My rh is also stable around 80, I know humidity isnt required for incubation but it's a byproduct.
Once this bag get going, I'm getting 2-3 more mycobags and using my free Argintine spore syringe on them.
Anyone have any pointers? I'm using weather stripping on the lid and have the terrainium wraped w/ blankes and duct-tape.

If you used the entire syringe the substrait is probably too wet and it will take longer or the spores may never germinate. Growing mushrooms is like making wine! It will take time and you will make mistakes, but once mastered it is well worth the frustration.
As long as you do not see anything green/gray or bubbly slime growing it is probably not contaminated.
I would use a "daylight" type bulb rather than a blue bulb. They do not realy need direct light.
Take notes on everything you do, put a ref number on every bag or jar you inoculate. It seems tedious but it will help you track mistakes and not repeat them. Who gnows? you may just comeup with a new super TEK!
Best advise? Just forget about them for a few days and see what happens..... I know how hard that is when you first start! : )
By the way all this is just hypothetical right? I would not speak in first person as you would not anyone to think you are doing anything illegal.

just wait a few more days and see if anything happens, but with all that humidity and too much water in the bag now from such a huge injection it could prolong the germination.

Depending of the concentration of ur spore solution ,in fact , the more spore u use , the faster u will see germination . If ur spore solution was clear (from a vendor for example ), u must wait , maybe 1 more week , then time will tell u !
Spore from vendor are often longer to germinate than ur fresh (futur) own ...

no light is needed during colonization, only to initiate pinning and for fruiting, mycobags will test your patience, Good Luck!!!!

if jesus had been a roadie for a rock band, they would have duct taped him to the cross. duct tape holds the very fabric of the universe together,Einstein new this but belived the world wasn't ready for the truth.

is there any chance of colonizing for myce even if the grains seem greasy let's say even after two weeks of nothing.?

greasy grain is a sign of bacterial contamination : (

if there was too much moisture in the bag couldn't you just up the temp and lower the humidity, the dry heat should evaporate the moisture on the inside through the filter right? and man, if you even think one of those bags are contamed put it in a different incubator, i've had instances where it spread to every one of my casing and jars in the same incubator. Good luck. -matt

The filter on the bag should keep out contams right?
I just checked after almost 7 days from begining and still no sign of growth other than the rised temp inside the bag. The bottom of the bag does seem to have more moisture and the inside walls seem to be collecting alot of humidity. How much longer should I wait. Also my next try I'm using a heating pad inside a small 2 gallon fish tank w/ lid. and the rest of the setup, bubblers, tubs, aquarium hearts for the fruiting/birthing terranium.
