Anyone Using Ganoderma Resinaceium Therapeutically?
    #21941500 - 07/14/15 10:34 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

I have read this species/variety is thought to be medicinal but it doesn't have the history of use like Lucidum or Tsugae. What do you think? Have you tried it as medicine?

We've created a toxic world, I want to explore the power of these natural miracles for health! Antlers look cool too

Have a lot of reishi that I use in tea. I actually mix it with my morning dose of Kratom. I just doing this less than a week ago as I went out hunting Lucidum after a week long rain. About the only.thing I've noticed from using it in tea so far is that I seem to Wake up less groggy. I have a coffee Miller I grind it to a fine powder with mint leaves and let it sit for about an hour on a low setting on the stove then down it with the Kratom capsules.

Ganoderma lucidum itself actually has no historical use medicinally, unless someone can find some evidence of its use in Ancient Europe.

The primary Ganoderma species that are traditionally used medicinally are Asian species, largley Ganoderma lingzhi, Ganoderma tropicum, and Ganoderma multipileum, these species were all considered G.lucidum until recent DNA studies were done showing them to be quite distinct. It seems G.lucidum is restricted mostly to Europe.

The fact that so many different species have been used medicinally in Asia however is good evidence that Ganoderma across the board is medicinal. Though most Ganoderma species have not been studied for their medicinal properties, I do not actually know of any study that has looked at genuine G.lucidum, or G.tsugae, they are all Asian studies looking at Asian mushrooms. G.tsugae is restricted to the Eastern US, and G.lucidum is almost completely restricted to Europe with some studies suggesting existence in certain parts of Asia, but there are anomalies with those specimens.

A widespread look at the medicinal components across the Ganoderma genus is needed.

Hey thanks for the info! My gf is about to put it to use. We find them all over cypress here in the SE. She has a ovarian tumor which may be benign may not. She made her first batch of tea this morning. I've been drinking it...

Wow, thanks for the education! Wouldn't it be nice to have a few extra billion sitting around to put into research of natural chemistry solutions

Is there anyone out there selling these genetics? I see Aloha Medicinals has a large selection but none of these specifically--not to mention, $350 is way out of my current budget.

I have G.lingzhi and now what I suspect is G.multipileum, I do not have G.tropicum.  G.linghzhi is the more widespread cultivated species. Being heavily grown in China and Japan.
