My issue with the summer spore load is that my subs can't last as many flushes without some of the aborts and shit molding over.  During the winter I could leave shit past a 5th flush and it would still look okay, albeit old.  Agar work and transfers is all still gravy though.

But given that, what technique could I possibly improve other than... I guess pulling off sidepin aborts regularly?

Yeah, spore load refers to the amount of mold/bacterial spores in the ambient air.  I'm all good on when to pick my mushrooms.  Thanks though.

cheers for all your input guys .... after having my fc's in my temp controlled fermentation chamber for a few days the pinning has begun :smile:..... think ill be getting a oil heater for when i put my next brew down tho  :smile:
