Festival Season, GOTTA GET READY!

Ok so I have an event I'm going to in the first week of September. I just inoculated some WBS but JuiceH highly suspects I'm going to get contams from my poor injection techniques. He's probably right but we'll see what happens bud
I've got five cakes fruiting in my SGFC, finally seeing pins, but have been fighting a bit of cobweb (Don't play with your jars people) so I'm not super confident they are going to produce a hearty amount.
I've also got a bulk tub (~12qt) that I'm going skip casing and creating a lid from an identical tub (Gonna have to find those instructions again)
Anyway I gotta get my ass in gear tomorrow to make sure that I can make the deadline. I still got three more spikes and enough sub to do PF no problem, but I really want to make sure I'm rippin and ready to go by September.
I'd feel a dick munching down a quarter and handing out a gram to the others.
Which way do you guys think I should go to make it happen? Am I being to hopeful... optimistic... naive?

First, we don't know who JuiceH is around these here parts.
Second, wtf is a spike?
Third, just get a tote, some pillow stuffing, and do a monotub

Well, even with my setups going, colonization of PF in < 2 weeks, you think I don't have a shot?

Spike = syringe. Junkie speak, hard to let go even if I've never used them.
And you think I can get a monotub fruiting in time?
EDIT, I just talked my friend out of considering death whilst on 3 sleeping pills. Give me a little lee-way with some slurred unintelligible statements

I mean, Pasty, you the man an all that. But I can't get a measly half together from everything I have going? I'm not a dealer dude, I'm not talking OZ's, I want 7g's to trip nuts, my buddy may want five, and the two ladies may want 1 -2 g each, but I'd like to assume we could all at least do an eighth together.
That's undoable? Seriously, cause I can score at a mark up, and I will to make it happen. I respect your opinion because you have results to prove the experience. Cakes to fruition I can't get a flush if I inject tomorrow?

I have my doubts. If only for the sheer fact that you have a deadline and mushrooms do not give a fraction of a fuck about your deadline or how many mouths you want to feed. It's like they sense that you're putting expectations on them and they shit the bed because of it.
At least that's how it always seemed to me.

Ok maybe I gave the wrong impression here. Its not like I'm going to start yelling at my cakes "GROW DAMN YOU!"
You can't rush them, or force them, or speed up the process. On an MS syringe you gotta deal with the genetics you get dealt, and that may mean slow growth (LIKE THIS DAMN TUB) but you take it all in stride and let them do their thing.
Now if you mean there's some actual hoodoo behind it, where they know I have a deadline and are going to take longer, to that I say....
They are not sentient guys. And I'm a bit disappointed that aside from telling me how doubtful you are that I can make it you didn't kick in your $.02 about which route you think would be most successful.
I guess I'll just do another batch of cakes and stay optimistic
Edit: MadChef, I was planning on doing a mono if this grain doesn't show contams. Reading that tek in your signature now. Looks interesting and as you say, stupid easy =P

Lol I'm not sure what you want me to say. Its cakes. They take time. Will they finish in time or show a good harvest? Maybe. All you can do at this point is research and give them good conditions when the time comes.

It's possible I'd say, but who knows... I've only been at the hobby 6 months. Absorb what you can from everyones grow logs and listen to the experts and TC's on the forum. I had a similar thing I was getting ready for(St. Patty's Day) and mine didn't quite make it in time... But when I got back I had a beautiful time. I'll be sending good vibes your way for sure, good luck and just keep studying everyone elses success. I suggest checking out violet's V-Tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18135103 Had faster results than cakes with bigger yields. I was probably just lucky. Just make sure your incubation temps are ideal for the myc and fruiting conditions and it hopefully will help with growth time.

They have had what they love most taken from them, be it freedom, love, money, or anything for that matter. When you lose your greatest love you also lose your greatest fear, when that happens you are completely and utterly free.

I have gone from spore to fruits in a mono in 5 weeks. 6 weeks should be a good table

I had a cak fully colonize in a week and a half, let it consolidate for a week- it's now in week 2 of fruiting conditions and is just now showing pins (it had knots forever!).
I also had a cake fully colonize in a month, let it cconsolidate for a week, and then it was almost another month before pins.
No way to know

On my last batch I had full colony in 2 weeks, so we shall see. I got 12 more in the PC right now, and a thought occurred to me as I was prepping them. Would it be of any value to get some of my injections closer to the verm barrier? My thinking is that that if the area around the dry vermiculite was to colonize faster it would serve as further protection from contaminates. Could be way off base here, I'm still trying to shake this sleeping pill off.

No you don't want to do that because the sub shrinks as it colonizes and can occasionally cause the dry verm to slip down. If this happens you want the bottoms to already be colonized. Its better to colonize bottoms up rather than top down.

Also you don't want to accidentally wet the dry verm- that'll lead to a contam every time

Sorry if my advice was taken as rude, but at least constructive. You had said you were not making alot of cash. Now you tell us you're also in a time crunch. I had given you information to save you time, money, and frustration. Should be invaluable stuff for you right about now. I guess I will try to be less dickish?

That may be the most ingenious combo of emoticons i've seen yet. Fucking great. Sorry for going off topic, but that shit has my stoned ass chuckling hardcore.
