Thanks for the brussels sprouts know-how  :super:

Mine are probably tall enough to get a haircut.  Need to check on 'em.  Thanks!

I keep my pereskiopsis in red party solo cups with holes drilled in the bottom.  But honestly, the bigger the pot the better.  Pereskiopsis LOVE a lot of room, and my best looking grafts are all in on the few plants I've given extra room.  Pereskiopsis can drop leaves with too much N, neem damage or stress from pests, also from shocks (either cold or hot)  Don't think lack of root space would do it, that usually just slows them down.

In your case, a repot and feeding probably wouldn't hurt.  I've had good  luck putting more plants in a larger pot rather than single plants in a lot of small pots.

Maybe some of you guys can help me.

I'm having ALOT of trouble with grafted Peres loosing their leaves with yellowing and all. I've given them no ferts since the beginning of summer and they're nearly all in some pretty small pots because I really don't have many pots that are of better size for them.

What size pots do you guys keep your grafted peres in? I like to have them all in single pots making it easier to move them around and I want to keep the pots as small as I can without impeding on the growth of the scion or the leaves remaining on the plant.

Also what type of ferts are ideal for these grafts and to what degree are peres able to take in nutes without any burning or damage?

Would a replant along with a high phosphorus fert be ideal for these plants

My peres grafts usually went in 5cm BEF pots with a fairly strong potting soil amended with the usual cat litter & perlite, blasted with a low N and high P/K fertilizer, but well flushed between each feed. I never fussed over the leaves, indeed the best scion growth rates happened on peres stocks that had all their leaves/areoles removed to prevent pupping.

Eventually we have to focus on keeping the scion happy. Seedlings love high humidity, but need to be weened out of that as the grafts grow. If we try to keep the peres growing optimally the scions might suffer, as peres thrives in conditions most adult cacti don't. But as we are primarily using its roots to power the scion, I don't think it is worthwhile to fret over peres general health as a stock, relative to how it does when grown on its own, as long as your roots and scions are happy.

Thank you guys for sharing your info on growing. I don't know how I missed this until now but it's very useful:bow2:

Anyways I have some pics to upload as an update of sorts so I hope you enjoy them. I'm not going to label like I usually do but I probably will find time to do so soon if you guys have any questions about a pic:grin:

First off this is what my grow room actually looks like now. The Cacti have pretty much taken over:nonono:

Here's some pics of just 2 of the containers I've sowed some seeds in recently. I'm trying to see how well large grained sand works to help germinate seeds.

Some Hawthoria truncate I sowed a couple of months ago.

Here's my RSM and Burn Damaged Loph showing new healthy growth.

Here's another Beautiful Willie of mine.

Here are some of my growing grafts. I don't have time to name them but I know there are some Ariocarpus, Lophophora, Trichs "TPQC", Copiapoa hypogaea and some Turbinicarpus.

And here are some funny Crested Mammillaria elegans that I wanna work as a cactus form of  :feelsbadman:

Thank you all for viewing and please let me know what you think:wink:

How long since you grafted those turbs?  Mine are slow.  I think I might have grafted them a little early.  They're finally starting to show some growth after a couple weeks but it's slow going.  Definitely nowhere near as fast as lophophora.

I grafted those turbs about a month and a half to 2 months ago I believe. Some have taken off while others "I guess I missed the mark" are growing very slowly. All my grafts seem to grow quickly from the get go but slow WAY down after a couple of months for some reason:justdontknow:

If you're experimenting, you may want to see how well they grow with even larger rocks. I've germinated some trichs in a mix of 1cm rocks and minimal soil, because it was all I had at the time. They grew quite well and the loose space they had between the rocks allowed for some nice roots.

Well I have a few more updated for all of you guys.

Some Euphorbia obesa seedlings.

Astrophytum seedlings.

Turbinicarpus seedlings.

Psycotoria alba saplings.

Peyote graft growing very slowly and strange shaped.

Ariocarpus retusus pupping pretty heavily at a young age.

Strange Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus with damage to the central meristem and pupping heavily.

some pineapple Express X White Widow and some Lemon Kush X White Widow seedlings:rasta:

Is this Red Spider Mite damage on this Peyote Graft and Penis Plant? Never mind the little rotted aria on the dick plant it's all dried up but the little spots seem to stand out as RSM damage.

I have a few more update pics to post but I'm kind of out of time so I'll get to it later. I hope you all enjoy the pics:grin:

If you've tried neem, rosemary, & pyrethrin to no avail and you're still getting RSM damage, I would suggest making some tobacco water and spraying them with that shit.  I recently followed Kizatz's recommendation to do tobacco water and am very happy with the results.  Spider mites have been held at bay (they're never really gone but you can keep them down to a couple of mites here and there that don't do much damage) and the thrips have been absolutely annihilated.  I can spray them with that shit and watch them writhe in agony and die.
:minigun: :onfire::onfire::onfire:
I took a shitty short filler cigar, broke it up into flakes and put it in some water with a couple tablespoonfuls of red chili powder, and about three teaspoons of black pepper, heated it up in a mason jar until it was hot, then let it soak for three days, adding boiling water from the tea kettle every time the water got low from the tobacco soaking it up, agitating a couple times a day, then strained with metal mesh, then coffee filters until it flowed easily, then put it in a spray bottle.  I diluted it a bit as it seemed a tad dark, you don't want it totally opaque black, dark brown is fine.

Anyway, it doesn't burn the skin of your plants and damage trichocereus like the plant oils, and it is quickly biodegradable unlike the neonicitonoids, but it fucking kills bugs dead.  The only downside I would say is that it stains all tufts, wool and trichomes brown, but if the choice it rustic looking fur or mite and thrip damage, it's pretty easy for me.
:asianofapproval:
