The friend who gave me the starts in May was here today. She mentioned she always has more coming up than she can use. Next time she gives me a batch, I'll wrap some roots for you. Have been amazed to get so much fruit first season of planting.

Nice raspberry Sarah. My ever-blooming strawberries are still going at it too. I munched a couple while watering the greenhouse last night.

Looks like we could be neighbors! (PNW) Sorry spaceman ratted out your gender
Space, or anyone, why is it against rules to trade plants but not spores?

Since when is it against the rules to trade spores? You can't solicit trades in the EG, but if you do it in the marketplace or via it's no problem, cannibis seeds, lophophora seeds/plants and active cultures are not allowed, otherwise it's pretty much open game. The RULEZ.

No one has said it's against rules to trade spores. I said "why is it against rules to trade plants but not spores?" Spaceman said it's against rules to trade plants here. I'm surprised it's against rules to arrange a raspberry plant (sold by none of our sponsors) trade in a thread. Maybe he assumed I'd want an illegal plant in return
thanks for the rules link. still don't see where it's illegal to trade legal plants. maybe there's a site rule that all trades regardless of content must happen in marketplace or pm... ?

At least in the ethnobotanical garden, but I'm pretty sure it's global. Mostly that keeps members safe from random google searches as the marketplace is not available to the general public or even the entire user base.

It's not against the rules to trade plants. you can trade plants other than illegal ones all day long just not on the EBG boards. Just PM whoever you see that has what you're interested in and get at it.
I don't understand you ratting out my gender

Ok guys took a few pics in the last couple of days so here are a couple.
My Lithop and it's flower. I'm wondering if the other might spit one out as well.
Opuntia ficus indica already well rooted and ready to spit me out some nopals for next season
I took a few test graft cuttings to root under my lights when they're well calloused. The first ones I took are already starting to pup and the second cuttings I took in a specific location on the trichs to test for best pupping abilities. The cuttings were also taken at different heights on the scions in hopes to see which type of cut gives better pups.
Some awesome Clematis grafts I took this season. Here is a recent pic to show how well they're growing.
One of my nice sized birdhouse gourds getting ready to be a bird house in my backyard next year. Hopefully I can bring in some martins to help take care of the pests flying around.
I took some more Milkweed cuttings yesterday because these plants are wonderful as they bring butterflies from all over and are the single source of food for the Monarch butterfly "their numbers are dwindling now a days ". Also here are some type of Opuntiod cuttings I'm trying to root. They look soooo beautiful when fully grown out but are VERY slow to root.
For some reason I took a pic of my Cristate Echeveria plants new growth. I love this plant and hope to get it to flower next year.
Some of my milkweed seeds getting prepared for a nice gust of wind.
The cotton type of feathering on these seeds are SOOOOOOOOO fuckin soft that I'm wondering if I might be able to find a pillow or something mead from them? They are WAY better than goose down.
My Lil Babies Ziggy, Loki and my baby bunny I named El-Ahrairah "Thanks to Kizat for bringing up the Watership Down folklore ".
And finally a couple nice dream machines I hope to get my hands on next year to help me work in the garden.
Hey Sarah are you any good with identifying wild mushrooms?

how cool! didn't realize monarch had a mono diet of milkweed. Cats with bunny pick is adorable
Sorry, spaceman, i suck at mushroom id except for a few that grow around here. My mushroom obsession is less than 2 years old. Why do you ask?
You inspired me to take some pics but for some reason it can take awhile for the phone pics to get accessible on my computer. I took these this morning though. Will upload others later.
fava beans and an unidentified tree, maybe a blue spruce?

these white things look like eggs right? good eggs or bad eggs ?

Wow very mice sis
I was asking about mush ids because I found a few yesterday that I can't 100% identify. I have some ideas but not completely sure.
I'll probably post up some pics here and maybe in the id forum.
I don't really know what those white egg looking things are but if there's no insects around them I would guess some type of mold or fungus.
Anyways I wanted to let everyone know that I have some plants and cuttings that I'm thinking about getting rid of in the marketplace here soon as I get a chance to start a thread there. So be on the look out if you guys are interested in anything and I'm sure we can work something out.

Here are a few wild mushie pics I took.
I know they're not active I just wanted to know if they have any benefits like being edible "even though I know some aren't already".

Sorry I can't find the pic of the gills but the spores are dark, blackish purple.
Then there are these tiny puffball like mushies.

mold was my first thought until I saw the pic blown up. but an insect probably wouldn't deposit eggs apart & so orderly so bet you're right.
if you don't want to take the time to follow all the posting rules on this site, A-rock and Tugrul moderate an ID group on FB. It's closed but just requires asking to be accepted. More laid back rules but also more possibility of getting wrong guesses. Good idea to wait a few hours for a consensus to develop. Or wait for Alan or Tug to chime in.

Those first ones look fairly like pics of laughing gymns I have seen, not sure if they are or not but that would be a cool find
Pretty fungi either way.

Damn Sis!!
I think I see about 3 different types of Basil all in flower "when a lot of herbs flower it changes the taste so you might wanna clip those flowers if you plant to continue using them" Oregano, chives, cilantro parsley, Thyme and many others I can't even name
Gotta love the purple Basil though, it's soooo beautiful and usually late to flower so it holds it's taste longer.
That is a beautiful lil herb garden. Did you plant all of that or is that just a full blown community garden?
Now I'm surely in Love
