I may be mistaken but I'm gonna say that's a passiflora suberosa or passiflora caerulea. Very Beautiful flowers:love:

To answer your questions so far I've never really had any troubles with scale but I keep a close eye on my plants so hopefully I never will. I know ants play a roll in spreading scale so I really fight those lil things :sniper:

Honestly when it come to clematis plants I just Love them with all my heart for some reason:shrug:

I've been taking cuttings a lot this year to add to my collection but I have also bought 1 this year. I have a picture of that pink clematis a few pages back that I had forgotten if it was from a cutting I had taken or if it was the one I bought. I think now that it's the one I bought because none of my other cuttings have flowered this year.

I walk around the neighborhood and ask people that have them if I can take cuttings so that's why I seem to have sooo many atm. I do though have rooted cuttings from 2 different plants that were being sold a lot about 20 years or so ago but don't seem to be available now to buy so I'm happy to have them.

I don't have any specific one I like more I just love the plant in general with it's constant explosions of flowers in late spring and summer:grin:

  nice thread!  thanks for invite.  lots of ideas here...and I learned a few things, like my habanero's with funny shape are called "paper lanterns"  :super:

The Gold Metal tomato is new for me.  But it reminds me of a huge gold tomato a friend grows that originated in Serbia.  I saved seeds from one; very few though.

Amish Paste - planted one late and was amazed how much it produced.  On the list for early planting next year.

Also saved seed of a cantaloupe called Delicious that has short shelf life due to a bit of a crack it gets when ripe, but oh so sweet and delicious.  And saved seeds from another cantaloupe that had green flesh, super sweet, no idea of name but not hybrid- grown on organic farm nearby so may be able to track down.  Friend who gave it to me who works there didn't know name.

Have you grown fava beans?  I hear they grow well in cool weather and was wondering about a fall crop of them.

I'm happy this has helped you some anyways I've not grown any Fava beans yet but I actually was thinking about possibly adding those to my list for next year.

Those Goldmedal tomatoes were awesome and I've saved seeds to try to raise next year as well. They actually have VERY few seeds in each tomato so I don't have much to work with but I'm sure I'll get something out of them:wink:

I have somewhere between 1 to 1 and a half acres to work with "A lot of trees need to be removed to give myself more room" so next year I plan to expand a lil "if I'm still here" so that I can add some extra things I would love to work with:grin:

Wow that is an interesting melon. I have no clue exactly what it is but if I put a lil work into it I'm sure I could find it's name:grin:

If it's good save those seeds and we might be able to chat a lil about what you can do with them:wink:

I just snapped a couple pics for some of you guys to check out.

I have 3 pics of some of my more recent Variegated Peyote "Loph" grafts and their new pups:grin:

Also here are some new pics of the bunny I caught awhile back to show you guys how well he's been doing and how well he's been eating:smirk:

I love this lil baby and he's brightened up my life. He's still a bit wild but I'm trying my best to train some of that out of him. Hopefully I'll be able to build my outdoor pen next spring and get him a female to mate with:naughty:

I'm about to post this here and in the garden shed but I have a question about some seeds I wanna plant today.

I have Ephorbia obesa and Haworthia truncate That I'm wanting to get planted today but I wanted to see if any of you guys have had success sprouting the seeds and if so how did you do it? They are WAY larger than other cacti seeds so I just wanted to be sure:grin:

Same thing as cacti, bury them a little (their own thickness or maybe a bit more). Once they sprout, take them out of the baggies, especially the E. obesa, or they'll rot. Don't be alarmed at the length of the seedlings, it's normal for them to be elongated.

So they need no light? Completely covered in soil "just a lil" or pressed down in the soil?

I saved the seeds of the melon.

Super cute bunny!  I know a house full of mycophiles, all guys, that hosted a workshop about inoculating logs w/ spawn and they let their 2 bunnies have run of the yard so the gate had a cute sign saying "please don't let the bunnies out".  :lmafo:

Beautiful peyote pics.  Is that the kind of peyote that contains alkaloids?

What did you end up naming the bunny?

Also, for some reason the site is being slow and I can't enlarge your pineapple pic. What is the blue thing in the center I'm seeing? How long have you had that one going?

Well the Blue thing is my lighter for size reference and this one has been growing since about late June to early July. So he's still young but I babied him for his first month and a half so now he's growing like a big ole boy:grin:
