someone spawned costa ricans in poo/soil casing with some woodchips tossed on top. Next to this patch they spawned some Cyans with soil laid down, then woodchips, then spawn, then woodchips. The woodchip myc is doing GREAT. and this is right on the border of the patches. They live in the midwest, and have been having a lot of humidity, cooler nights, and plenty of rain. If no rain creek water is used daily to water patches. I know it's not cyan season, but the pointy cap on this blue based mothafucka is confusing me. so....... Cube, or Cyan, or neither>?? pretty immature still. will keep on eye on it as time goes on.

Well, it's definitely not a cube imo. The cap looks wrong for a cyan. Given the location, could it be an ovoid?
Interesting none the less, magic indeed!

yeah i was surprised to see something that looked like that this time of year. specimen is dried intact stem is almost black, Seems sterile, no spores, yellowish gills but HEAVY bruising. the fucking woodchip myc next to where i found it is spreading like CRAZY but this one lone fellow showed his face as i happened to glance over. perhaps the vendor mislabeled the print- or...... it's some strange wild midwest find that just happened to pop up in some spawned beds.
i thought if i let it go any further it would just rot as it is like 85 f during the day. kind of looks like a immature one of these though but also not really.

these were ordered for microscopic study.
I wish i wasn't so busy all the time. being responsible sucks sometimes, NO PLATES MADE UP (in time). ended up drying it maybe WORKMAN can help with this one? someone who found this orders from them for microscope viewing

I see Blue bruising and what appears to be an annulus. I'm thinking this could be a possible P. cubensis. It does not resemble P. cyanescens in my opinion.
