some finds while hiking the Appalachian Trail

I did a 3 day section hike of the AT in NW GA this weekend. Here are a few of my finds. The Chanterelles look very different up here, less ridges on the underside... Strange. Anyway- enjoy! Food was not scarce in my food bowl! I even convinced a couple other hikers to some Laetiporus sulphurus and they loved them!

Edit: agreed with bottom post, didn't take my time on that one, assuming it was not of any edible value. But upon closer examination I do agree with the following poster's ID. Thanks for catching that one.

Bottom right is Laetiporus, what makes you think otherwise?

They were definitely Laetiporus, they just weren't nice and young and tender as I would like. I found plenty more young ones though along the way
That was my Lion King reenactment with the puppy. They were giving them away free at the Ranger Station and a friend I met along the way got him. He's only 10 weeks old but he is a trooper- hiked 20 miles with us like it was nothing.
