I'm just wondering if grinding 10+ ounces of dried shrooms into powder is a good idea? I grind them with a coffee grinder and put them in capsules when i do them anyways.

If they're dry you have nothing to worry about. Have you read up on blue honey?

unless they are vacuum sealed and frozen, the potency will degrade over time...
but if you plan on using all of it within a month, it wont be an issue
honey makes a good airtight seal as well, but of course then you have to eat a shitload of honey to start tripping (depending on the ratio of shrooms to honey)

Powder keeps pretty well in chocolate and pill caps too.

If that's what you want to do then sure. A coffee grinder would absolutely not be necessary. If they're cracker dry you'll have no problem simply crushing them into a powder with your fingers.
