How do I pot these tiny lophs?

I just got all these little guys. They seem to look mostly healthy to me. The one in the fifth picture has a little brown spot where it looks like some rot or something go to it, but it looks like the area has dried out and it isn't too bad (I hope?).
My question is- how do I know how deeply to put these things in the soil when I repot? Some of these have tiny, fragile looking buttons attached to the root. They are just starting to green on the tip.
Should I just try to expose the area that is greenish, and bury as much of the rest as possible?
Thanks everybody.

I don't have much experience with lophs, I just sowed my first seeds a few weeks ago and already have a few seedlings. But those don't look like they have the healthiest of rootsystems. Check these out from the guy I bought my seeds from:
Those look like some nice Lophs you got there though I believe youre supposed to bury them about halfway up the button, but i'd wait for someone with more experience chime in first

Yes, that's a good plan. Those plants were degrafted and rooted, and the pups that were growing at their own will are now facing the harsh reality of having to stretch for the light. They will take the looks of a "normal" Lophophora in a season ot two.
If you want to make the most out of it, bury the plants to a few milimeters below the green part and finish with some light coloured/translucent gravel. That will encourage all the pups to grow upwards to the light. If not, some of them will eventually shrivel and die (and that's perfectly fine).

I think they are calloused cuttings off a caespitosa, and not degrafts.

Ah okay, well I don't know if they are degrafted or if they are cuttings, but that theory does make a lot of sense to me.
Thanks for the feedback!!
Should I be worried about the buried pups that die? Should I check them and try to remove them when I think they are dead or anything?
Or should I just let things happen naturally?
Thanks for the feedback guys.

Just leave them be. The plant will choose which to keep and which to drop.
