Possibly albino bridgesii pup?
    #21938439 - 07/13/15 05:58 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

So I was checking on some rooting cuttings earlier as it had been awhile. A couple had pupped already but not rooted so I figured I would check the rest.

So I pull up this lil bridge cutting which I knew had not rooted yet just to check and bam:

I noticed that.

The thing is, the pup is right at the base of the cutting and had been buried. Could lack of light cause that color?

I pulled it up and have it propped up now with the pup sticking partly out. Should I move it into shade for the pup and or to increase its rooting speed?

This is what my first though was when I saw the pic. But it was only that - a thought. IDK if that is what is going on, but I do know I have never seen a pup that color, so maybe it is?

'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' was his response.
'I don't know', Alice answered.
'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

Thanks for the answer, I am just excited it is showing signs of life in general, I had a feeling that might be the case.

Any thoughts on if I should shade it or not? It has been in full sun and has been fine but I don't wanna burn the lil baby pup.

That cutting is planted upside down. While it may survive that way, IME it will not thrive. See the 'v' shaped marks near the areoles? Those will always be on the top of the areole when the plant is right side up.

I have some established plants with the V pointing down  yo very possibly are right but with the pup growing how it is I will probably leave it be.

I was considering moving it into a bigger pot and logging it too.
