Can your tolerance differ between flower and concentrates?

I've been either smoking wax out of my pen or dabbing daily for over 3 weeks now and haven't smoked any flower since then. Today I ran out of wax but had some bud laying around to make brownies with, I packed a small bowl in a pipe and hit twice ans I was just immediately stoned. It feels like I've taken a small dab or two it's so strong.
Could it be that I'm getting other cannibinoids, which I haven't felt in 3 weeks or is this just some great fucking weed? I'm leaning towards the cannibinoids, because I haven't felt this classic type of high since I was smoking flower in the beginning of the summer.

I get the same thing. Right now wax isn't doing me any good (taking a week break or so) but flower gets me almost too stoned, to the point where my body feels like a different thing from my mind.

After working with concentrates for a while...I find flowers to have a much heavier stone and a "richer" more "full" effect.
I find concentrates to be more intense in a way, much more in the head, but also more clear and functional.
I believe this is because flowers have the entire spectrum of terpenes and cannabinoids, and extracts don't always retain everything that the flower has to offer resulting in a different "profile" of cannabinoids and terps.
Vaporizing your wax versus smoking your flowers is also another variable at play....I can have one single strain of flowers, and vaporizing those flowers tends to produce a much more intense heady & lucid buzz for me compared to if I were to smoke those same flowers, which tends to bring on a bit heavier of a feel and a more stoney/cloudy headspace.
So yea...I've certainly noticed this too, one dab over the line will have me high as shit regardless though .

It's the other cannibinoids.
Here is my routine. I generally smoke potent hash for a week or two and then switch to bud. Even though the hash is stronger than the bud, whenever I first make the switch from hash to bud I get extra stoned because my body isn't used to flowers. Then after a week or two smoking flowers, I get some more hash and then I get even more stoned because not only am I not used to it but its a stronger product.
So I think alternating is the way to go. It helps you appreciate the uniqueness of whatever for smoking. For instance if I smoke hash every day for a long period, I stop appreciating how strong it is and it just becomes my normal stone. But after smoking weed for a while and then going back to hash, I am like wow this is incredible. ANd when I go from hash back to weed, even though the weed is a lot weaker, there are still aspects to the high that I appreciate which I dont experience from hash. So yeah, basically I recommmend alternating. Don't smoke the same crap all the time.

Lol I get the opposite effect ,aka my tolerance skyrocketing, but I use everclear to extract my weed so I get all of the cannibinoids in my shatter so it's like smoking really strong weed
