Hello. Could you good people recommend me some songs that sound sort of similar. I like this MBV cd & these songs are my two favorite.
More specifically, I really like the sound that plays throughout this entire song that starts around 0:26. & then it plays again with a background voice it sounds really nice, it starts around 4:49.
Then this song
I would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.

Good band , check this song by MBV out
for that specific sound you mentioned you like in "Soon" idk but I would recommend some early Porcupine Tree perhaps. - not quite sure if this is what your looking for but give it a listen anyway & let me know what you think

That Porcupine Tree song sounds heaps like it. I used to listen to In Absentia a lot, didn't hear any others though.

I quite enjoyed In Absentia ! not sure what you groove to but they have quite a few great albums imo. My personal favourites would be Voyage 34 & Fear of a Blank Planet. I would recommend them if your down to check out some more Porcupine Tree material.

Not quite along the same lines of those tracks from MBV's Loveless (unparalleled album) but you could do worse than to check out Slowdive's Souvlaki, another shoegaze classic. Thank me later (unless you've heard it already).

I've always felt that this song has a similar vibe as MBV's "Soon", but does not have heavily layered guitar effects as the standard MBV palette:
Stone Roses - Fool's Gold
The Jesus and Mary Chain's "Psycho Candy" album contains a lot of MBV's raw energy and dense layers (what I call beautiful noise). Alan Moulder produced this album as well as MBV's "Loveless".
You might like the band Curve. A lot like MBV with more electronics and a bit more "dancy". Heavy effects on heavily layered guitar.
Curve - Think and Act
Lush is another great and similar sounding band with lots of dreamy dense guitar layers.
Lush - Sweetness and Light
I love My Bloody Valentine but have been exceptionally partial to their B-sides and non-album releases.
Slow
Emptiness Inside
I hope this info was helpful. The above posters have great input as well.

Thank you guys for the suggestions. Everyone was really helpful. I made a list of all these songs & will listen to them again in the future.
hex_enduction, unfortunately the link to the jesus & mary chain album won't play. What is the name of it? I will look it up on youtube. I've heard that slowdive cd before. For some reason I like MBV better but I listen to that slowdive cd every once in a while on youtube. I really like the song by them called 'crazy for you' (4:42 version). The bass sound that starts around 0:28 is really cool. Do you know any songs that are like 'crazy for you'?
caman & Dilsnique I really liked that MBV "Slow" song. Those looped background sounds/noises so cool.
The dance sort of feel that "Soon" has is really nice (MBV). I like how it is not so much of a electronicy dance sound, if that makes sense.

The JAMC album is called honey's dead. That's like my favorite slowdive song man. It's on their third album Pygmalion, all of which sounds pretty similar to that song and it's beautiful. Pretty stark departure from their early sound.
I'll edit this when I get home with more details lol
