Can you store dried shrooms in capsules or?

I'm getting different outlooks on this question
some say when you dry them, and grind them up like that you're exposing the entire surface area of the shroom to oxygen
and then you're storing that grinded material in a capsule with oxygen in it, obviously degrading it
now one of my very first trips was a guy that brought out 20 capsules that had already been sealed in a bag for what appeared to be for some time now. I had one of the most amazing incredibly trip on some of those capsules
so i'm curious, is it wise to try that or is it better to just dry them up, put them in a bag and throw them in the freezer or what not?

personally, i wouldn't store them in caps. and you don't need to put them in a freezer either. i don't think there would be much degradation, but idk i would just grind them up when i'm ready to trip. or just eat them.

That's a physical fact.

If you really compress the powder hard to fit into a capule (and that's what you do unless you want to swallow 10 capsuls per trip), then there is not that much air left. If you close the capsules properly and put them into an airtight zipperbag / container, then I woudn't worry that much. But I woudn't store such capsuls for months, either.
Some people store their mushroom powder airtight in the freezer without noticable potency-loss for years. I don't. I store my shrooms as shrooms and powder them right before consumption / further processing (lemontek / tea / chocolates).
Trial and error I'd say. If you have plenty of shrooms, go for it, take your time and make a comparison.

I used to grind mine to a powder then stuff tightly into capsules, its not the most preserving method but they were still plenty potent after months Its definately the most convenient way to store them

If I dry them cracker dry then put them in the freezer, are they ready to be grinded up as soon as I pull them out or do I need to put them back on the dehydrator for a bit?

I grew a couple ounces 2.5 years ago. After harvesting, I dried them, ground them up and put them in gelcaps. I put them in little ziplock bags, 10 each, and bagged them again in a big ziplock and stuffed them away behind cinder blocks in my basement. 2.5 years later I notice that the stuff is definitely getting weaker. I like to microdose and I used to really feel a third of a gram (that's what I stuffed into each gel cap). Now - I take one and I barely feel it. Probably should have stored that stuff better... but not a problem, I plan to grow more soon.

Place capsules in a steel water bottle with a packet of desiccant. fill steel bottle with CO2 (get a cartridge, or make it with baking soda and vinegar). The CO2 is heavier than ambient air, so it sinks in bottle. Shake bottle, fill again with CO2. Years and years of safe storage.

Knock your dick in the dirt? Now that's one I've never heard before. Sounds sort of... unpleasant.
-------------------- An old man and his grandson are sitting by the fire outside the tepee, wrapped in furs and gazing into the leaping flames. High on a snowy ridge, a wolf howls at the moon and another answers from far away. Soon after, the old man removes the pipe from his mouth. ‘Grandson,’ he says. ‘There are two wolves inside you. One is white and the other is black.’ ‘What are they doing there, Grandfather?’ asks the wide-eyed boy. ‘They are fighting each other,’ says the old man. The boy considers this, then asks, ‘Why are they white and black?’ ‘The white one is your love, your peace and your truth. The black one is your fear, your anger and your lies.’ The fire crackles and sparks flare in the night. The wolf on the ridge howls again and the old man puffs contentedly on his pipe. Finally, the boy says, ‘Which one will win, Grandfather?’ ‘Ah,’ says the old man, removing the pipe once more. ‘The one that wins is the one that you feed.’
