SWIM's cousin's uncle's pet octopus is making some SP tea right now (just trying to be extra annoying with the 3rd person lol)
Chopped up 24" total. Blended with water. Put in a pot and boiled lightly and turned down to a simmer. Added 4oz 20% lemon juice to supposedly help extract
GOING TO: keep simmering until it starts to run out of liquid and will add more water to keep it going
do this a few times over the course of many hours
strain it after a few hours
may or may not reblend the strained material and reuse it a few times
strain again after many hours
let simmer until a small amount remains
done.
Any comments to give now so it doesn't get messed up?
Trying not to burn it this time mostly.

"may or may not reblend the strained material and reuse it a few times"
you should strain then boil in fresh water + juice and strain again at least 3 times. Combine all liquids obtained from each boil. This is how it's done.

Got it.
What I was saying was, was going to strain it and re use the strained material again in hopes of getting more out of it. Whether that works or not I don't know.
At what point should you strain exactly?

Not sure. I used to simmer for 2-4 hours. There is no need to cook longer.

Its best to strain only once, at the very end.
And i recommend lightly boiling for minimal 6 hours for best results. And add water to prevent burning.

Why would you say so? It seems logical, that if you strain once there will be alkaloids left in the pulp. They need to be pulled out. There is no way straining once is better than multiple boils and straining dude.
