Should I be concerned? What should I do? I feel a lil bit defeated after a month of doing all the work Any idea what this is? Thank you so much

Probably just from handling it. Just keep it moist and you'll be fine.

Bruising either from physical contact or drying out. Mist when needed as mustard tiger stated.

Mist as needed (when previous misting has evaporated.)

Do you still mist even when it starts pinning?

Yes. Evaporation from the sub is a key pinning trigger which you have to mist for there to be moisture available to evaporate.
Give the mushies wat they want and in return they'll give you wat you want

I fruit bulk subs right at 100% and with your avg MS tub it's about 7-8 days for knotting and 10days I'll have pins.
be sure you mist both the cake and the perlite, the pic in your first post looks a bit dry to me.

When my hubby and I started to grow, it took a couple of weeks almost for any pins to pop up. That was with our first healthy batch. All in all we had a great first batch.

It has started pinning! Im so happy, thank you so much guys for the help.
A question though. It started pinning from the bottom, and im thinking of letting them grow in reverse (putting the bottom of the cake on top). Is that a good idea?

They're pinning on the bottom because there's more moisture there. I'd increase my rh rather than flipping the cake, which will move the pins from their optimal environment.

I will try to increase my RH, thank you
When do you stop misting btw? Do you still mist until before picking?

Keep misting as long as needed to keep up rh. No need to stop unless you don't want additional flushes. Just be careful not to have water drops fall on your fruits.
Mist, not rain
