Side Pins Everywhere! Moving substrate?

I've got a bunch of side pins coming in and I was thinking of just moving the sub block into a large plastic bag with some air holes cut in it for airflow so that all the mushrooms can grow unimpeded...any reason this wouldn't work? I'll be around plenty to mist it if it gets dry and I figured since it's already fruiting it should be pretty safe from contamination. I also considered getting a larger tub but this is already a 66qt.

-------------------- I'd rather live on the side of a mountain than wander through canyons of concrete and steel. I'd rather laugh in the rain and sunshine and lay down at sundown in some starry field.

When you go and move the sub out of that tub most of those pins will abort. I did it with a small double tub I made. Your best bet is to let those grow out best they can, pick them. Tape up your sides of that tub with duct tape and hope for a better second flush.
-------------------- Alright then, picture this if you will: 10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" post, just outside of Area 51. Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping... Holy fucking shit!

Let them grow and mature, you can pull your sub when they do mature
tape will not help side pins at all

Yea tape wont prevent sidepins. You want a liner which will stick to the sub as it shrinks.

We all want a beautiful symmetrical top canopy but a fruit is a fruit and side pins develop into fruits. Unless you have optimal fruiting environment the side fruits are often denser than those on the top.
You'll soon see some great examples of hydraulic pressure

Cubes really like to pin from the sides so if you decide to roll without liners, then you better make sure surface condtions are perfect. Otherwise you get side pins. They are a bit annoying but they are still food and still worth the harvest.
