Who can not see this shit is not right...

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 20 (Reuters) - A former FBI agent used heroin seized in drug busts in the Washington, D.C., area for his personal use and tampered with evidence, resulting in the dismissal of several drug-trafficking cases, prosecutors said on Friday.

Matthew Lowry, 33, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was charged in the U.S. District for the District of Columbia with 20 counts of obstruction of justice, 18 counts of falsification of records, 13 counts of conversion of property, and 13 counts of possession of heroin, according to court documents.

Lowry's attorney, Robert Bonsib, said his client will plead guilty to all charges.

Lowry tampered with heroin evidence seized during several investigations in 2013 and 2014, often keeping the seized heroin in his car for personal use before returning it to the evidence locker after adding fillers to make up for the weight difference, according to prosecutors.

He is also accused of falsifying documents while removing seized heroin from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's evidence locker.

In a statement, Bonsib said in each of 20 incidents involving evidence tampering, Lowry removed small amounts of heroin from evidence packages to self-medicate a long-standing health problem known as ulcerative colitis.

The evidence-tampering resulted in judges dismissing cases against 24 defendants involved in large-scale drug trafficking investigations.

If convicted, Lowry faces at least seven years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $16 million.

The investigation into Lowry's behavior began after he was found unconscious in his unmarked FBI vehicle on Sept. 29 after overdosing on heroin. (Reporting by John Clarke; Editing by Leslie Adler)

This guy is getting off lite - Seven Years - Little Bitch

Last year, Kris Lewandowski, a disabled three-term Iraqi War veteran with PTSD, was arrested in Oklahoma for growing and using pot to treat his symptoms, but that was just the beginning of his problems.

After being medically and honorably discharged from the Marines and declared 100 percent disabled due to severe post-traumatic stress disorder, Lewandowski, 33, began to grow pot to treat his PTSD after his prescription medicine began to affect his liver and worsen his mental state.

In June 2014, his wife Whitney called for help when Kris suffered an episode and chased her and their two sons out of the house with a knife, before barricading himself in the home.

The police arrived and Kris surrendered peacefully. Then authorities found six pot plants in his garden. Local media referred to it as domestic disturbance that turned into a “major pot bust.”

Oklahoma law has no provision for medical marijuana usage and cultivation of any amount. Among the strictest drug laws in the country, Oklahoma has 54 state prison inmates serving life without parole for drug violations, according to NORML.

“They tossed him in jail like an animal,” Whitney Lewandowski told Buzzfeed about Kris’ detention.

Kris was ultimately released on bond and hired a lawyer, but then had to drop him.

“We just couldn’t afford him,” Whitney explained.

The family then moved to California—with permission from the authorities. Since Kris did not qualify for a public defender, he assumed his case was on hold while he searched for a new lawyer. Instead, the court in Oklahoma held a jury trial, which he missed, not having been informed it was even scheduled.

“We can’t even get anyone to talk to us,” Whitney told Buzzfeed. “We would have gladly been there.”

The Oklahoma judge then issued a fugitive warrant, and last month, Kris was arrested again at his son’s preschool where the family had gathered for a water day celebration. With guns drawn, deputies took Kris to Orange County Jail, where he remains.

One must ask: Is this how the United States treats a disabled man who served when asked by his country?

Whitney Lewandowski recently set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for legal expenses, and Kris' next hearing is scheduled for July 22.

Things like this are almost too cliche.

I guess I am just reintroducing something we've all seen before time & time again.

Do you wear Emerica shoes? Are they comfy? Do they last long? Would they fit a wider foot nicely?

I have two pairs of the Andrew Reyndolds 3 and I have pair of old school herman 3s that I have to wear because skating in them is like skating with tanks on your feet.  One pair of the A.R. III's I kept pristine(deep dark purple) to keep the other pair I skated in, easily one of the best shoes I've had to skate in as far as well rounded-ness goes; I don't go through shoes very fast unless they're really thin.

Skate shoes are weird. I usually try to look for the most well rounded shoe for good grip and support but with proper flexibility for a really good board feel, especially with the back foot.  I skated in a few different shoes - Laki and Gravis - the thinner the shoe the more board control I seem to have,

Skate shoes -can be aggravating but when you get a pair that really work for you it makes the world of a difference.

This has always bothered me about the legal system of most western nations. Its supposed to be justice for all, not representation for the wealthy and fuck ya if you're poor. What a sham representation of the notion of justice. . .

I know. It's outrageous to me that in a country that proclaims "liberty and justice for all", only the rich can afford such "justice". :waits:

This article is from the second topic under "similar threads" at the bottom of this page. It's less sensationalistic.
