The cascada was pretty crazy.  Must have been over 1200 steps up, in the dark half the time, often with sharp dropoffs at the edge.

Roridomyces sp.

On oak leaves at the Coatepec cascada. The leaf glows but the mushroom does not.

Mycena sp.

Amanita bisporigera group

Bright yellow in KOH.

This Russula species is always very tiny and always on well decayed wood. The max cap size is about 1.5 cm.

Found in a forest of mixed Quercus and Oreomunea about 2 km below El Zapotal.

Psilocybe fagicola

Phaeocollybia sp.

Galerina sp.

Roridomyces sp.

Microscopy by Alonso on the pileipellis of this species

Helvella lacunosa group

Psilocybe yungensis

Mycena sp.

From El Saucal, the highest elevation bioluminescent species that I have seen.

Stereum ostrea

Lepiota sp.

Lepiota trichroma

Esta poco madre.... A hawebo!

Thanks!

This one was taken in my jeep while Alonso and  I were waiting for the sun to go down completely so we could hunt for bioluminescent mushrooms.

It was raining like crazy and the road was so bad the the local citizens padlocked it off.  We stopped and they offered to open it for us, but we were like....nah.....

I used a ring flash, but instead of attaching it to the lens I held it about a foot to the left of the mushroom, behind a big white translucent diffuser.

Awesome pics! That Roridomyces looks like a drop of water that grew up into a mushroom. :P So beautiful! This is gonna sound weird but...if you rub the glowing mushrooms all over your clothes, can you make yourself glow for a little while? Wow that's a stoner thing to say.  :blazed:

I think so.  I will try it tonight and report back.

In California I grow glowing diatoms (Pyrocystis lunula, highly recommended) and one of my favorite things to do with them is to pour some on my hand and then clap - little glowing things fly everywhere.  Or put them on the floor and then my hands and feet make glowing trails whereever they go.  Those would be cool on your clothes at night.

Can they grow in a saltwater fish tank?

You could try it, but they might die due to other things living in the tank.  I keep mine in a bottle next to my window.
