What kind of people do you attract?

Ive found that pretty much every girl attracted to me was at one time a total outcast
Ive often wondered why. Its not like I walk around talking about how I didnt have any friends growing up. Yet these girls find me
Have any of you found that most of the people you date have a common link? And love of music doesnt count. Im talkin deep stuff

About half the women I've been with have been older than me. A significant number of them have been redheads. They've all had a spiritual side to them, many of them being pagans. I've also been with a few women who have a history of trauma and depression.

Trauma seems to be the link. Before this one they were ex drug fiends. Finding them long after. This one is a "never done anything bad" type. But the trauma is still there. Funnily, they are always very into nature and love sex a ridiculous amount.
And I get a lot of girls that say "I had a feeling about you. Something said you were going to change my life" or "I really felt like we needed to actually meet" which has happened even through Facebook. Then we start talking and find out we're on the same level. But I don't exactly flaunt that so I wonder how they know.
My relationships are always healing of one or the other of us. Or both. Like a clock waiting for something to be absolved, until the next one comes around.

Others with the aquarius sign; it's uncanny. More than half ov those i've been intimately involved with at length have been other aquariuses. We tend to be a bit eccentric so there may be an initial attraction there, but it may tend toward isolation from each other as we learn how stubborn we can be in the manifestation ov our intricacies.

A wide range of people, but mostly the females I attract tend be into good music and drugs. Being a 5'10 male I seem attract a lot of tall women. Most of the women I have been with are 5'7-5'11. Tall women love me for some reason .
I have also sadly found that a lot of the women who are into drugs are escaping some type of mental disorder or pain and tend to be crazy sooooo crazies are common.

Every guy I've ever dated longer than a week has been a drummer. I won't even know about it until we've been dating a while. They just FIND me. Now I just ask on the first date. Love me some artists and musicians, something fierce.
Also an analysis of the demographics of men that hit on me would reveal that I attract swarms of black guys.

For whatever reason women in general usually find me very attractive. I've had so many different kinds of females approach me, from friend's moms, to goody two shoe prep girls from high school, to the alty or gothic types, to stoner chicks, so I had my pick.
It's a weird problem to have, but it always seems that women want to attach whatever male personality they favor to me, and when they find out how I really am, they are generally very disappointed. I bet a lot of people who read this will be like "stfu", but it was really hard to connect with people when they just liked me for my looks.
In high school for example I had five girls ask me to prom. I was a total stoner, I never had any intention to go to prom but all these girls wanted me to go. Obviously they didn't know me at all, they just though I was attractive and wanted me to be how they imagined me to be. But actually, I did the same thing a lot when I was younger, I had a LOT of relationships based purely on physical attraction and, surprise surprise, they never worked.
It was very amusing sometimes, girls with good grades who never did drugs would express interest in me and ask what I did with my time, and when I told them (skipping school, video games, tripping on mushrooms, smoking weed) they'd be all shocked.
Lucky for me I grew up and chose someone I love spending time with, who really interests me and makes me think. A person who helps me enjoy life, my best friend, who is now my bride to be.

Throughout high school it was mostly the "alternative" gals that i'd get with, metal heads, punks, rockabily, etc. Now its a few years after high school and my style has drastically changed, i cut my hair and keep it pretty short, have put on about 50lbs of muscle, so i generally garner interest from fitness/gym girls and more "preppy" types. Which kind of sucks because my favorite style is rockabily

Lots of good responses, thats exactly what I was hoping for. Really big variety
@ Toe_Jam: I didn't think "stfu" at all. You want a deeper connection and its hard to find. However, considering you seem to attract all different types, maybe you should stop blaming your good looks and start blaming your bad judge of character . At least you don't blame women or anything, thats unhealthy. Whenever a woman says all men are assholes I always think 'Well, maybe you should stop having a taste for assholes.'
@ psychonaught: I was hoping somebody would say they attract the 'wrong' type of woman. Ive recently been thinking about getting piercings and tattoos because I find alt girls super hot, but I look like a nerdy hippie. But it also makes me feel like a total skeezbag to change my appearance just to attract different kinds of women, I personally don't consider it an expression of who I am to put holes and ink on my body.
But boy do I like it when women do it

i mean don't get me wrong i won't complain about going out and hooking up with bikini figure competitors (true story) .. I just find alt girls MUCH more attractive, part of it is also that i'm not really involved in that "scene" so to speak. My style is very much americana, like this if you don't know what that looks like:

Most of my interaction just happens to be with the gym rat girls haha

The last girl who was attracted to me was in a very serious relationship and became engaged and had to break it off with me.
The girl before that was a complete roller coaster of a mind fuck and honestly treated me like shit.
That's really about it, other than that I don't attract many women.
So, mostly assholes I think. It's probably not coincidental...

Yeah in the past I definitely was a very poor judge of character, long story of course but I used to be addicted to opiates and hung around lots of really negative people. I have grown a lot, been clean five years. I now have real friends for... The first time in my life.
I also stopped going after women for their looks and was lucky enough to find a wonderful woman who connects with me on many levels. She's my best friend for sure, we're engaged, I consider myself extremely lucky. I also happen to find her attractive, but that's just a plus.

the only person to ever verify that i'm Jesus was this ruffian along with his cohort's, they were drunk and coked out, and one of them was punching in host's of fencing along the street, and was ahead of the group, whom were all cavorting behind the raging lunatic, whom yelled at my face as i passed, and as i approached the amoebas form of the laughing tard's, i parted them like Moses' did the sea, and moved through them at a lamb's pace; one of them called out Jesus walks! (with my long hair at the time), and i gave them the thumbs up, and avoided becoming the target of blind drunken rage because apparently, i was Jesus.
and since the guy was punching in things and yelled "fucking bitch!" directly in my face, it affirmed my suspicion's of the lot being a potential drunken threat, as is the norm where i lived at the time. but they seemingly could not withstand the force of my Jesuit plodding. i thought then that i must be Jesus, i mean, he said i was. i took it as a sign.
this is the story of Jesus in a nutshell.

Talk, dark, and handsome, with daddy issues for men.
For women the link is trauma, being stereotypically hippy/goth, and having a very strong sense of self. All very different themes, but they are the recurring ones.

there was one time when i was a friend's...i was drunk, but i wanted to go home so i started walking, soon after everyone was ready to sleep. along the way home, i bumped into someone...a girl coming out of her apartment in this very cringe worthy home, at around 5:00 AM, she had some kind of tumor in her jaw, blowing it up to the size of large grapefruit...she was coming out of her home as i was approaching, and as i was passing her she turned to me, and stopped me and asked me "do i look beautiful?"
i continued walking.
i learned something that day. i still don't know exactly what that was however. maybe that i'm soulless? who knows.

hopefully i'll be able to entwine that tale into a more fictional setting, at some point...because yes, seriously...and i was watching this movie the other night where there featured a character whom had a facial deformity...it kinda brought the memory to forefront and being intoxicated, i felt i'd share to get it off my mind, because i kept thinking about it.
it would definitely have to be the most Lynchian moment i've ever had. no kidding. the horror of it all is not knowing what the hell happened after that. i kept beating myself up over it, like what could i have said...something, anything....
the poor girl like the character in that movie, she had to get up before everyone else, in the early hours of the morning (4:00-5:00 it was) to avoid being...eyed. to avoid everyone.
it's not just that either. i couldn't imagine how to explain just how much so. other than to say that it was more than just this girl's appearance or the randomness of it all that sticks with me....
well whatever; seeing as i had been making a conscious effort to not get involved with anyone during that time, for years, so...having this girl come out and say what she said...disturbed me.
we intersected, me in front of her, as she turned and those words flew immediately out of her lips; by the time the communication was finished, i could only then notice...it...it was more powerful than me. i've never been speechless before, but this bested me.

I tend to attract all different types of people from all walks of life. But one common theme I've noticed in men who tend to be drawn the most to me, is that they were all very intelligent. Not all of them were successful career-wise or necessarily educated (in terms of having college or graduate degrees), many in fact were not, but practically all of them were highly intelligent.
Aside from the intelligence, they have all been so vastly different in terms of personality, social status, career objectives, success, family background, looks, etc.

intelligent does not necessarily imply driven. i'd say, for obvious reasons.

Yes, which is why I differentiated between the two. Some of the men who were drawn to me were indeed highly successful and educated (MBA's, NASA engineers, inventors, VP of Merill Lynch just to name a few examples off the top of my head). But many of the men who were drawn to me never graduated college (they either flunked out or they never attended), or they were musicians or personal trainers or military guys or something else by profession that doesn't require formal education. BUT they were ALL highly intelligent and analytical types.
That is the one and only thing that I could say without a doubt has been a common theme among all the men who have fallen in love with me. They were all very intelligent. But each of them different in every other way. Every one of them had different social statuses, different education levels, different personalities, different social behaviors, different bodies, different races, different looks, different philosophies in life, different religious backgrounds, different political beliefs, different everything.
I will say though, that the most common profession that I've dated happened to be engineers. I'm not sure why, but engineers and military guys have been the most common profession among guys who have been interested in me. But even the military guys I've dated were not your typical dumb jarhead types, they were all super smart and knowledgable about politics and history and art and all sorts of topics, and they were not your typical Bill O'Reilly parroting hack.
Naturally, my relationships have been very complex with multi-faceted layers to it, due to the high intellect of these men. Let's face it, dating a dumb guy would be a lot simpler. They're a lot easier to keep happy, and far easier to manipulate. But dumb guys unfortunately, have never been attracted to me.

most drive is a mere concoction of motivator's (money, power) and arrogance.
a more resolute drive is that of someone purely indicative of a mastery or genius.
raw intelligence is measured in that respect by the goal at hand, and not the achievement of a place or prize.
just saying. maybe you've attracted more the exceptionally finded type, more so than the braggadocios.

I tend to attract girls as socially maladjusted as me with a few exceptions, but even those ones are pretty fuckin' out there in different ways. I've also never been with a girl older than me, the closest was about a month apart. Every girl I've been with is also a bit of a freak in bed but I'm convinced that few women aren't
Besides that, idk, artsy liberal types I guess

the pub is different than the rest of this site? really? first i've heard of that. let me check...
oop, nope. it's the same site-round.
so since you don't give a shit waht i think, let me just tell you what i think...you're a history buff, we all get that, but you have no idea how politics works. you do not just right all the wrongs during history, you want to amalgamate some sort of conscious and deal with the past, but you can't...and you take that part of yourself out on everyone else. you might pander to the least respected of people, but yet, your constitution is obliged only by the undeserving.
good luck with that. go get laid.

I dont really know what to say to that man. That one is pretty far out of left field.
On a philosophical level: 1.How can you right a wrong? 2. How can you right a wrong from the past? 3. what exactly is a wrong?
All of those questions need to be answered before you can even touch that, and those are some pretty heavy questions. Most of your posts just make me thing "Dude Canada must have some bomb ass weed.”

Truth be told, I don't attract anyone apparently. I'm even starting to think that I repel...
As soon as I start opening up on a date I can guarantee there won't be another.
The only way for me to progressively get more and more dates out of a girl it would seem that the only way is to withhold who I am. Apparently I don't do enough things on a daily basis to be found interesting by women, so I constantly have to play the mysterious type for them to stick around. It's getting really annoying. Like I don't go rock climbing on the weekends and I don't have this super interesting out of the usual everyday life. I'm just a regular guy. Apparently it isn't enough anymore.

I seem to attract damaged goods. Women with depression, OCD, anxiety, ADHD, digestive issuses, many previous sexual partners, nose piercings, tattoos, et cetera.
That being said they tend to be intelligent which I really like, but morally bankrupt leftist social justice warriors. I'm not sure what this says about me.

I personally think you are a little scary looking. Being intimidating to approach is tough for girls. But I think if you went on the offensive and asked guys out you'd do pretty well.
Not part of the thread but figured Id toss that in there.
Also, I should mention that I rarely attract anyone either, I just noticed that of the few that I do they seem to have a common thread

Haven't all you people who say you attract nobody ever thought that maybe you might want to be more proactive? Maybe a little less intimidating? That last is specifically pointed at Slothie. You are fucking gorgeous. I guarantee that most guys are intimidated by you. I bet that most non arrogant assholes don't think they are in your league. You make a move if you like a guy. And try not to pick an asshole. You are pretty and smart and, as far as I can tell, not fucking crazy.

i have tried making moves but have either ended up with an asshole or rejection or they end up being fucking retarded and i just can't deal with that. it's okay though because school is my number one priority anyway.
btw, zappa, i've got my fair share of crazy going on. i've just gotten real good at hiding it over the years--more like controlling it, but whatever. i'm also on meds and see both a psychiatrist and psychologist regularly.

We spoke on the phone for 6 fucking hours. If you are crazy you hide it extremely well. I am very good at detecting that shit. I can usually name that tune in about one note. I don't think you're crazy. I think you're just unhappy.
Not for nothing but you might want to consider taking most of that metal off. I think most sane people find it off putting.

i am extremely good at hiding it. i'm also on stable medication right now, so that helps a lot. i'm pretty severe bipolar I, hence my inability to sleep like a normal person and my inane ramblings at times.
also, i like the metal, therefore it stays.

You are not crazy and all the metal relates to other people, not you. It wouldn't scare me but other people make judgments based on appearance so if you are only getting weirdos the metal might be part of the issue.
You are not crazy. You are insecure. For no reason at all. You are fucking awesome and I don't just mean how you look.

Astute little observation you've got there.
I could actually settle for a dumb guy. As long as he shut the fuck up and kept his shirt off the whole time we were together.
Damn, I honestly lose respect for you with almost every post.
It is obviously a joke. I can't stand even being in the presence of dumb guys.
I get you, and I'm up there on that sex drive. I'm just not understanding how you can't learn things even from the 'dumb' people. Everything and everyone is a lesson. Use that potential to grow. I've dealt with my fair share of these people at times, but that was more or less the arrogance I had in my heart. If you measure the intelligence of a fish by it's ability to climb a tree it will go it's whole life thinking it's invaluable. Paraphrased and not quoted, as you know.

I actually got approached by a couple of straight guys while I was at the bar last night. I can tell I'm doing good with my voice because neither of them ran away.
The first guy was actually kind of interesting, I'd talk to him again if I saw him again. Older, well mannered, good conversationalist, seemed interested in speaking further. I have to admit his attention was rather flattering. The second guy was annoying though, he was basically hitting on everybody there. When I was standoffish he proceeded to wrap himself around the woman I was trying to talk to. So I just stared at him awkwardly until he got so uncomfortable he had to leave. I believe I have a long career in cockblocking ahead of me.
