Somebody growing this shrub? I'd like a Larrea tridentata bonsai in my peyote garden

It releases some antioxidant to the ground, thought it should be helpful for peyote plants; I was just figuring out to reproduce most typical environment(S).

>>It releases some antioxidant to the ground

That's rather interesting, any references for possible reading?

Could'n find literature in direct relationship with Lophophora, I've read it somewhere on the net...

I think this may explain the fact:

"A powerful antioxidant substance is contained in the waxy covering of the leaves."
http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/ornamentals/nativeshrubs/larreatriden.htm

Leaves fall on the ground and subsequently release substance to the earth, am I right?
