nope. tried talking to my psychaiatrist about it, and he said until i have been sobor for at least a month( from marijuana and alcohol) he wouldn't refer me

seems better than traditional therapy/psychiatry though   might be worth a shot

I've never been in therapy but I have a psych degree and this is an intriguing option that I have been reading about for a while.  I have no idea what your issue is but this is an interesting option.  Certainly beats the shit of traditional psychanalysis.

Sounds like just identifying the infected thoughts ?

We make many thoughts to justify our behavior, but if these thoughts are invalid , our behavior is invalidly justified

i.e. I can't possibly do anything because I have cancer, but then you take your car and drive to Norway to deliver a package to one you know as a gift , when you arrive you say you can't possibly unpack it, no energy

that is your mind that told you you couldnt do anything
you learned to say you cant do anything

but then you still could when you needed to

CBT is only for people who don't understand their minds, and only for people who trust the professional understands his mind

Now what makes us not understand our minds? : stress, pills, drugs

I have major depressive disorder/ADHD but I am also not super intrigued with labeling my dilemma. I get sad a lot though, I don't like where I'm at in my life.

I'm going to nursing school hopefully, I have a Class C Misdemeanor battery charge, and I have to pass a piss test in 21 days -.- and I smoke half a gram daily of some dank -I did an online calculator which told me even tho I'm 140 with fast metabolism, I would pass 90% of tests after 45 days.

I'm scared of the background check/piss test, but that's not why I'm depressed. I always have been. I have very few close friends, and the ones I have aren't impressive. Two are basically bums, one is 43 and has a house his sister pays for, the other just doesn't want to work. I have a few ambitious friends though, a pharmacist (I see rarely), a studying architect, an anesthesiology assistant (in school as well), and one who just works full time and doesn't pursue his already earned degree in being a trainer.

I'm depressed becuase idk what I want out of life. I feel stuck due to previous school failures/dropout and I still live at home with parents at 25. Not happy to be where I'm at and when nursing school gets crazy idk what I'm going to do.

Avidly against medication honestly .Maybe I will get an as needed clonazepam script for severe panic attacks (I have an addictive personality but I have been prescribed it before without abusing).

Would it help me to feel more confident maybe? To trust myself more?

I took psychology in college and CBT was the best type of therapy for overcomming strong phobias.

Id say try it. It has a pretty good sucess rate it seems. it goes into the "internal cognitive mechanics" and restructures how your thoughts manifest, which changes behaviour.
