Hi guys this is my first post. I was working at a job site the other day and spotted these beautiful ushrooms in the neighbor's yard. I returned and got permission to check them out/pick. I went through a field identification and they match closely with amanita muscaria descriptions. Now I am a begining mushroom hunter so I really wanted to get some help/feedback. Thanks a ton!
Species #1

Habitat: Found growing under large pine trees. lots of pine needles were covering the ground where these mushrooms were growing.
Gills:White gills, thin, fragile
Stem: White stem with "fuzzy" parts, enlarged (round) at base
Cap: orangish - light yellow - cream/brownish. Not sure if the yellow variety was different than the more brown looking one. I thought the brownish one may just be an older mushroom
Bruising:No noticeable bruising
General location: Ohio River Valley region of the US
Spore Print: Spore print was white
These mushrooms were picked yesterday evening (7/10/2015) and were found after a few days of rain.
There was a large patch of mushrooms that I found spread under large pine trees.
Thanks for the help everyone I really appreciate it.

I was thinking the same. I picked these with intention to eat them. I have read many things about amanitas and am interested in the spiritual experience. I actually spent time in meditation asking for these to appear in my life and they did! I am just as hestant as possible because of the various deadly varieties of amanita and dont want to die

if you've actually done proper research, i am not so sure this is going to be as 'spiritual' as you anticipate. these are not "magic" mushrooms mind yu, they contain an entirely different chemical that will make you sweat and feel drunk and sleepy rather than not, depending on your dose. I cannot vouch for this as i've never consumed any myself (doesn't sound appealing to me in the least,) but from people whose opinion i trust that have.
its recommended that if you take this mushroom (prepared PROPERLY) that you have someone sober around to prevent you from doing really stupid shit that people are prone to do when overdoing it on these. edit maybe art will chip in some advice - i believe he likes low doses with his eggs lol

thats the thing, i have heard plenty of negative experiences and plenty of positive experiences. still up in the air about whether or not i will consume and need to make sure the ID is correct i would not be doing this for recreation, but plan to sit in meditation.

okie dokie. you're an adult eh. its a free country as far as muscaria is concerned. reports come in at about fifty fifty huh. i'm not sure i'd roll the dice on odds that bad if the losing means feeling like shit for hours.
i get plenty enough of that to meditate on IRL without asking for more.
