Please help me ID - Hamilton, NZ
    #21926066 - 07/10/15 08:43 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Heyo people. Went for a pick this morning in Hamilton New Zealand and found a couple of shrooms that look similar to some I've seen on these forums that are active. Can anyone help me ID these? I found a bunch of each...

It's a no from me, although I'm still new around here.
Immediately, the stem of the 1st mushroom is too thin.
The 2nd mushroom has gills that run down the stem (they shouldn't do this).

Did the mushrooms bruise blue at all when you picked them? That's a good first step.

Wait for a trusted identifier to be sure, but definitely don't eat them.

I'd suggest you have a look at the ID request template at the top of the forum and read up on Psilocybe Subaeruginosa in the mean time.

Welcome to the shroomery

First one is a Mycena sp. Second I'm unsure of. I do know that neither are active.
