I saved a contam'ed BRF jar with a spoon!!

So I noticed a blueish green mold type deal growing connected to my mycelium (it was right at the top of the jar just barely below the dry verm layer).
I opened the jar outside, cleaned a spoon with an alcohol wipe, dumped out the dry verm layer and made sure to carefully scoop the contam.
It's been a few days and the jar is now colonizing contam free!
I was unable to replace the dry verm barrier since I don't have any sterilized vermiculite. I am keeping it outside incase it does get contam'ed again, but so far it's looking like my healthiest/furthest along jar!
If the cake does fully colonize without further contamination it will have a spoon mark from where I scooped the shit out but, a spoon saving a contam'ed jar? Epic.

That's my last resort . If any of my jars become unsalvageable contam wise I'm gunna plant them with cow manure for sure.

Congrats on the save, I'd be careful about that though, unseen doesn't mean absent.

Could of also just been bruised discolored mycelium from drying out. Good on yeah for keeping it outside though.
