Just before i start i can get easy road rage, and i always feel like people should know nd sometimes face there mistakes. Well i was driving home with my wife nd kid and this guy break checks me. So i try to go around him to do the same back to the asshole. Than he swerved at me making me almost go head on with another car. At this point he has almost got my family very endangered, i prolly could of prevented but... so im like hell no imma pull this guy over nd talk to him nd see what the fuck his deal is. After following him thru a small community he pulls over, i walk up to his car calm ready to handle it in a "adult" way i guess you could put it. Than as i see walking up the scrawny little bitch pulls out a pistol inside a holster. Now idk if it was loaded or not, i got a family to worry bout so i didnt want to stick around. I live in MI, is that legal for it to be out, not in a locked compartment? We got the crazy fucks license plate so im contemplating what to do cause i hate the police just bout as mu j as i do gun slinging bitches. What should i do my fellow shroomies? Its friday i wanna get drunk nd smoke a couple not deal with cops too -thanks a bunch guys kushroom

You escalated the situation.
When some simpleton tries to pull you over after something like that, they usually want to fight. You could have been killed, people have been shot for flashing their lights at people.
I don't know your state laws nor care.
Glad your ok though.

I doubt the cops will do anything. He says she says situation. Unless of course there's a warrant out for him.
Technically speaking youshould have let it go and not pull over to talk to him. That put you in a situation where he could have shot you claiming you followed him for miles following a traffic incident or whatever.
Avoid the assholes at all costs.

No.. You endangered your family.
Also in my state what he did would be legal. Anyone who's actively pursued me would make me feel like my life could be in danger. I don't carry a gun in my car, but honestly why should I risk what you may do while you're raging when I can just pull a gun and be done with it?
You've already showed you have little regard for even your family's life, what value does a stranger's life have to you?

Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. You're part of a machine, you are not a human being With your face all made up, living on a screen. Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline

From the very beginning it was his fault. He shouldn't have tailgated him like a jackass, or break checked him.

Just back off from people like that dude. What good is going to come from almost getting into an accident with your family over some crazy person. I can't stand people with road rage

yeah. you're the crazy fuck. you're the one who put your family in danger, trying to get revenge by 'break checking' him back. he probably didnt even do it on perpose to you in the first place
if he a concealed carry licence, it was perfectly legal for him to brandish his firearm in this situation. you forced him off of the road and were obviously acting aggressive

is the A key broken on your keyboard OP? (talking to someone who brake checked you would never in a million years have a good/constructive result. they're angry, you're angry, you knew what you were doing)
I have had a lot of issues with road rage that almost got me hurt. I've been able to almost completely eliminate those hostile feelings from my life by examining the cause of such emotions, and realizing that driving situations are incredibly transient. Just gotta learn to detach yourself from those needless emotions.
I'm always saying to myself "that situation ceased to exist a full minute ago, quit stewing over it."

I carry a gun for this exact scenario. I would've reacted in the same way the guy you harassed did.

yeah for real. I would be pretty scared if somebody followed me until I pulled over and then approached my car
hopefully OP learned a lesson here

He was being a dick. But you escalated shit by following him, he pulled over and you did also and approached his car. He didn't know your intentions (for all he knows you're as crazy as he is). That being said if he raised the gun or pointed it at you, that would be crossing the line, but having it on his lap or something incase he needed it... I'd do the same... minus the driving like an asshole part.

I don't think it was crossing the line. If the dude had balls OP would be dead.

OP you should have thrown the car in reverse told the wife and kids to duck and floored it then when the cops came you could have just said in your panic you were trying to get away and put the car in reverse by mistake. Totally plausible.

Seems like a case of child endangering. Idiot drivers are everywhere and you should have just let it go.
Glad to see no one got hurt.
