Hey guys a patch I've been picking from for over a year now got overturned by the council and I could only find 2 shrooms. So, in the face of seeming defeat I decided to return and take mycelium from all the different spots where I know 110% only p subs have ever grown there (I have never seen another type of shroom even remotely near it).
I transferred it into a plastic tub and misted it, put the lid on then put away. This was this afternoon.
There is 2 just past pin p subs, some decayed shrooms (went black) and lots of mycelium. What else do I need to do/not do?
Pics 1 & 2 are when I just fresh put the mycelium in a temporary container until I got home and Pics 3 & 4 are the mycelium in the new container after being misted and being stored for a few hrs.

Clone a fruit and take a print for cultivation purposes, and put the mycelium back outside, where it belongs. Maybe in your own bed of choice at this point keeping it indoors will just increase chances of contamination. I know outside would be good for it.

Lucky you to live in a part of the world where you can find gold like this just lying around for the taking. I have thought of trying to start some Azurescens in a pile of wood chips in my back yard but I am afraid I am a little to far east and north to bring it off. I once got some Azurescens spores and spawned them to---I want to say WBS but it may have been some other grain. Anyway, they went to work on the contents of the jars and the colonizing was going well, when contamination developed. It has been quite a while and I kept no journal so I can't give hard data on any of this. My plan was not to try to transfer the contents of the jars to anything, but to make mycelium tea with the spawn.

I would clone a piece of tissue on agar and a spore print aswell. With that you are well on your way to your own grow

I can't put it outside it would endanger my dogs, whats the best way to keep it indoors? What is cloning exactly and why do I need to do it? And is it even possible to take a spore print from these? They are already starting to go black since I transported the mycelium.

To clone you could try to take a small piece of tissue an put it on agar. It will probably have a lot of contams but you can cut and transfer away from them. If you don't do agar...you probably can't do much. You could try to swab the gills with a sterile qtip but then you really need agar again to clean the spore sample.
