Syringes leaking after pressure cooking

So I just ran some 10cc syringes through 3 pressure cooks 20 min each time and took them out once the pressure was 0. Boiled some water and filled em up, held them needle side up and there was water leaking through the rubber seal/plunger. is this due to the black rubber piece still probably being hot from pressure cooking and the consistency of the rubber being temporarily altered or are these syringes fucked? I'm gonna let em set for 24 hrs and try to fill em again and see if that helps.
Anyone else experience this? Am I just being impatient because I know high heat changes the structure of many substances including rubber.
Any help is greatly appreciated

You can just boil your syringes for 20 minutes and your syringes will be sterile. No need to pressure cook them. You only need to sterilize the surfaces of the syringe is not like you are sterilizing a bag full of grains. Yes some syringes are not made for sterilizing them at higher temp/pressure.

Dunno if this is the problem you're having or not... But I had some issues with leaking syringes. I eventually worked out that I needed to push the plunger all the way in and take the cap off before pressure cooking and allow room for pressure to equalise. Otherwise the different pressure would distort the plastic.

Or... you could just not pressure cook syringes since they don't have endospores in them.

Last time i tried to sterilize syringes in the PC, I had some leakage as well. Not sure what I did wrong. I filled it up with 8cc of water and brought it up to 15 psi for 20 minutes. I've read that sterilizing is necessary, but if others have had success just sucking up boiling water and letting it sit, I'll go that route.

That IS sterilizing. Boiling water sterilizes most non-organic material.
On the other hand, if you suck up water into a syringe and then pressure cook it, naturally, it will undergo lots of pressure and heat and that tends to cause warping.
