Does anyone have any experience with this strain? I am interested in its ability to produce stones.I have heard of its abitlty to produce copious flushes of fruits but it the sclerotia I'm interested in.Its my understanding that this is a very clean ride and that is what I'm looking for.

there is a thread on Mexicana somewhere current in the same section as this question is posted. Look it up. There is a lot of info there.
You have the right idea: Anything to avoid the bloat and nausea some encounter on mushroom trips.

i did not have luck with it forming stones in vitro. out of 6 jars, none produced even the start of sclerotia after 2 months. spawned to bulk, got big ass stones, and it was a prolific fruiter

ATL7 and tamps both produce stones easily in vitro for me.

If I remember correctly, most of the spore prints of this variety currently circulating originated from CaptainFuture, who noted that it seemed to produce few to no sclerotia.

Actually the original prints of the Chicon Nindo P. mexicana are coming from elfstone and azure. Here's the thread on them. They gave out a lot of prints on slides to various members. Multispore it is a pretty poor sclerotia producer, but with a little cloning/isolating you can make it decent. These jars are just over a month old:

And here's my growlog, it might help:

Spores from elfstone/azure collaboration.
Sterilized rye grain spawn inoculated with agar wedge. Substrate is horse manure, coir, vermiculite and gypsum (50/30/15/5) pasteurized for 2 hrs. Colonized in 14 days.
Cased with a thin layer of pasteurized Jiffy and cactus soil mix. Pins appeared in 10 days.

Before and after harvest (notice the spore deposit on some of the caps):

Spore printing sneak peek. Looks like they are sporulating heavily!

Stones from a dish. That's how I got a prolific stone producer Jalisco too, what otherwise known for mediocre sclerotia production.

So if I were to put a drop of spores on a agar dish and look for stone production then sector that portion out to another dish correct?
