Do you believe in karma?

Do you believe in karma, both good and bad? Do bad people get punished? Do good people get rewarded? History would tell us karma is a load of shit! Kids get cancer. Corrupt/mean people have it easier. Sex offenders get off light. People who deserve a life don't get one. People who treat others and themselves like shit succeed. Drug addicts and rebels spam this world with babies. Stable, friendly people struggle to start families.
Your thoughts?

I think the common misconception about karma is that it acts quickly even within one lifetime. For those that believe in reincarnation, one's karma is doled out over several lifetimes. If you do good things and life shits on you anyway, it's from a past life of bad deeds.

Karma exists not as a higher power, but because those who do good things affect others positively. Those positive feelingd will come around when they need help.
Those who do bad hurt people and can not only rely on nobody, but have people out to hurt them as well.
Thats the way i see it, anyways

I guess you could call it karma, I think it's a load of shit that some underlying force will bring bad misfortunes to those who do bad things, and vice versa.
I think it's much more simple than that and basic human nature, I help this guy, this guy is more likely to help me if I need it...I fuck this guy over, he's more likely to take any opportunity to fuvk me over, or maybe even people he told that I fucked him Wil remember me and fuck me over if they can.
You build a reputation, or sometimes you get the shit end of the stick....it's all just odds and coincidence really.
"I helped this guy and I found a 20 on the ground as I walked away, talk about karma"...talk about coincidence, it's almost gaurenteed many people found money that day, sheer numbers that one of them would of happened to do some thing good right before they found it....and same with every other scenario.
It's almost the equivalent of praying for something and not getting it, and then just forgetting about it because you didnt get it, but when you finally get something you did pray for, attribute to god doing you a favor, but instead of god, it's attributed to karma.
Sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you dont, and sometimes you might of done something you think you're being rewarded for, all coincidence or just statistics to me

No. it doesn't exist. It metaphysics, esoteric, new age whatever.
The "universe" doesn't recognize right or wrong. In fact the universe is the mosst chaotic and ruthless environment in existencece.
Karma is yet another feel good attempt to make yourself believe that the world is fair and that everybody gets the reward for what they put in and the consequences of what they take out.
It doesn't work that way. Criminals go unpunished all the time (and get promoted) and the hardest workers have shit jobs, no pension and get fired whenever the criminal decides he doesn't need him anymore.
If somebody wrongs you, it is your job to make him pay because the universe won't do it for you. Either call the cops or choose another alternative. Just make sure that you are ready to face the potential consequences of your actions if you get caught

Im more in line with this one,
but to focus on that one lifetime - i can see the reasoning with the responses esp patlal invoking response.
its just weird though cause it leads to do you believe in psychics or not
