Oats Sprouting? And I Forgot a Liner!

I'm using oats in my monotub for the first time and I think one of them is sprouting. Should I just pull it out? Is it going to cause any other problems? Does this mean I need to PC my oats longer?
Also, I forgot to put a liner in my tub and I can already see some side pins forming. Is there anything I can do to minimize side pinning at this point?
Here's a picture of what I think is an oat sprout

Let the sprout be. It will do no harm.
Is there a small gap space around the entire substrate?

Basically yes. Maybe 1/8th of an inch wide?

Doesn't look like a grain sprout to me. Did you use bucket tecked coir? Random seeds often survive pasteurization...

Yeah this is totally it. I remember reading that ecoearth changed their supplier or something and their coir was different than it had been. I had a 3 pack and this was one of the ones that people were saying was bad.

So some like to fill the space between the tub and the substrate with clean vermiculite, i'm not a fan. Since you have that 1/8" gap why not take a plastic liner, cut it to the correct height and length and wrap it around the substrate. Clip the two pieces when the come together so it is snug around the entire substrate.
The main goal here is to prevent FAE around the sides of the substrate.
