15 minute hunt
    #21918524 - 07/09/15 09:01 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Habitat:Growing near river bank in SE Georgia. Went on a quick hike for edibles. Mostly just want to know which are safe to eat. That red mushroom was growing clustered on a dead log and is very sponge like. The small tan one with the indenting in the cap next to the red one secreted a milky sticky sap when I tried to pick it and was growing out of moss.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:
Very important!

Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

What I think I may have. Penny Brown Boletes, false Chanterelles, lactarius indigo, Turkey tail, Ganoderma, and a puffball.
