The sometimes interesting posts, informative and knowledgeable posts from you and Ped, Alans mushroom photos and generally other good posters. The bad? The crazy amount of trolls that are never banned, troll, stupid posts... stuff like that.

Best: The river of useful knowledge that goes as deep as you'd like to go.
Worst: When people post threads like. How strong is this acid? what did I just eat that was on paper that tasted bitter? How many ripz can you take? And finally flip phone pictures of you ball sack....

If you want to learn how to grow mushrooms, the information on how to do it and people willing and eager to help you out are here. The helpfulness of many people is incredible.

Immortality is the ability to retain full memory through all consciousness transformations. Loss of memory is man's greatest curse and, in very real terms, death." -- Ancient Taoist Master

Best: Funny posters and wealth of information on all topics (mostly drugs)
Worst: Threads where the OP posts a long ass post that is automatically TL:DR for me but turns out to be the most popular trending thread

The best part of the Shroomery is the cultivation knowledge and help. Coming in a close second is the ability to find people to chat with when one is bored or lonely. The worst part is the argumentative and better than you nature of some of the ego driven people around here. Its not everyone that posts this way though, so I come back and put up with it.

this is why "trolling" is such a bullshit way to get banned. basically as a mod you can twist words whenever you want and call that users posts trolling
trolling is a way too vague term

The best things are the wealth of information available and the number of members that are willing to offer help on almost any subject. The bad part is the growing number of fucking know it alls that refuse to back down even when confronted with overwhelming evidence that suggest something contrary to their opinion. They refuse to even say...ok...maybe.....and offer ridiculous amounts of twisted facts to back up their "opinions". That shit gets old.

I know what you mean. Last week some kid was talking about how Benito Mussolini committed a genocide on 60 million people. I called him out on his error, and he flew into a rage, insisting that I am "pretty fucking dumb" and that he was right. I posted links showing he was wrong & challenged him to prove himself right. Hours later I got a couple PMs from him alluding to the idea that he *might* have been mistaken. Kid couldn't even post he was wrong publicly. The whole discussion was emblematic of what's going on with these uneducated millenials and their gleeful hubris.

I don't bother pointing out the flaws or giving suggestion about this website anymore.
When I point out a problem, it never gets fixed, when I give suggestions, they never get put in application.
Im done wasting my time trying to make this website better.

Best thing: the community. It has it's own culture and style, and that culture and style is very unique and cohesive. You don't see such a fully developed elaborate culture on other boards this size. When most boards grow to this size, it's just a generic shitfest with no culture or style. We have culture, style, and a great sense of community. I'd like to think that the reason we're different is because of psychedelics.
Worst thing: All the negativity in its various forms. Trolls are funny once, but when you've been doing the same troll for years it gets old and it sucks. People (including myself) who are just angry and critical about everything all the time. Assholes, know it alls, people who are just ready and waiting to tear others down, etc. There's a huge amount of negativity, arguing, insulting, even over really basic things. People even tear each other apart over opinions on things that don't even fucking matter.

I agree with a lot of what you said, but i also think that some of the 'negativity' is well placed and necessary, especially since there are people who are stuck in detrimental mind sets, often due to their own ego. See JustForToday for clear examples of ego and how this community treats these kinds of patterns of behavior and thoughts.
Personally i wouldn't want to come to a place that is 100% nice and positive, there has to be a balance. It's really lame when people are super nice to your face but won't express how they truly feel about you or an idea.
