Guess it was time this thread was made When first getting into the cactus hobby, i bet that everyone had mistaken those great plants for cacti
Indeed some of them have nice shapes and huge thorns that resemble spines
I will start posting some of my best exemplars, i hope you will contribute
Euphorbia Trigona Rubra, showing some nice leaves if watered properly

Euphorbia Mammillaris

And this one, that is still to be ID (i count on you)

I am embarrassed to admit that I would've thought those were cacti, as well. I learned something new today!
Awesome plant, man!! Thanks for posting pictures. I especially love that second one! Those spikes are crazy looking!!

Yes, I don't give them any extra care. They live on a windowsill and get water every week or so

Euphorbia are poisonous to animals right? Or is it just certain species?

I wish I could grow the Genus, but my husband put his foot down and said no to the genus for me.. I will just have to have Euphorbia envy. You all have some nice plants, for sure.

Interesting read here... "Post-mortem examination of people killed by Euphorbia latex has revealed severe inflammation of the walls of the stomach and intestine and in some cases the wall of the stomach has been perforated. The poison is called euphorbon about which little is known. There is no doubt about it. Many plants in the family Euphorbiaceae are dangerous if you handle them carelessly. In some cases, just one drop of latex on your skin can cause a rash the severity of which depends on how each individual reacts to it. If the white, milky latex touches a cut or sore or squirts into your eyes, you are courting trouble of major proportions."
