I'm interested. I live close to CO, so I might be down to take a trip.

I'm picking up a Polaris rzr 800 this week to get over the antero summit with tools and to camp at Brown's lake. We tried to summit antero 2 weeks ago and got turned around almost at the summit. I was in my long bed Silverado and it was scary as hell taking those corners. I decided to never take that truck up there again. I might end up getting a nice jeep later this year if my season goes well.
The hike into brown's lake and my claims via the Brown's creek trailhead on co rd 272 is actually pretty easy, about 6 miles up. The camping up there is world class lush alpine meadow with a clean and beautiful lake. I'm not sure what the fishing is like in the lake but I saw 8 inch trout in some of the other creeks nearby.

Also, if anyone wants to do some mining for aquamarine, smokey quartz, or fluorite, I need a few crew members for an equal share. I have all the tools needed.

the mt tabeguache and shavano trailhead shouldnt be tough....from what i saw online it said most passenger cars could make it on a dry day. but im not sure what level they are, they said something about a traverse i imagine as sketchy

edit: actually tabeguache is a 1/2 too..forgot to look at your list in the OP

yea, I was just at the tab/shav trailhead a couple months ago to try the angel.  the TH is very accessible.  the traverse is chill although moderately far from the TH.

Damn, only men responded to this thread. Wtf did we do man. We should have legalized ecstasy first. I haven't even considered one since this redhead agreed to summit her first 14er with me and then literally never spoke to me again after she said that.

It is indeed pretty interesting.  There's a good population of women on the easier 14ers like greys/torreys, bierstadt, etc., but once you get past those it's like all dudes and maybe their GFs ha.  It's a super male dominated culture for sure.  If I met a hot red head that loved climbing stuff, I would marry that chick in like a second.  Sadly, actually roughing it backpacking/mountaineering style is not something most women would be into.

Is everyone still up to do this on the weekend of Aug 14th?  I'd be down to meet up earlier, like themanwithnoname suggested.  I'm currently living in the Highlands area.

unfortunately apparently it's one of my good friend's birthdays that weekend so not gonna be able to do the 14th.  sorry :frown:  I can block out the 21st weekend or you all can go without me up to you.  meeting up for some brews some time sounds like a swell idea too.
