im just wondering if anyone knows if you can or cannot use 2 different brand exhaust manifolds. same specs, just different brand. can anyone recommend to or not to use different brands? one brand the driver side manifold is 14.95 ( I know, right?!) the other is 64.00. so I could save $50 if I can use two different brands....

the answer to this sort of depends.
if it truely is the same specs... yes you can.
if its not... then backpressure will likely negatively effect performance

what would be the ONE SPEC that HAS to be perfectly the same....i would think just the actual exhaust holes..as far as quality of metals etc, that could be different w/no performance or back pressure created...right?

basically... if the pressure at the H or Y is equal... so they are volumetrically the same... (same size pipe and same length)... OR if it has been setup for the DIFFERENCE in length...
you are fine.
and the negatives will only be in ratio to the difference.
so if they look identical it may well be negligible.
if not, as certain temps your truck may stop running, but thats truw anyhow...its a ford...AND a v6

eaaaaaassssyyyyyy now, lol, if my wifes grandma wasn't selling it a few months ago for 2k with only 48k miles on it I woulda kept my 96 v8 lol....the cheaper manifolds wouldn't have ended up being cheaper anyways, too good to be true. no gaskets/hardware and pay for shipping, ends up being the same as just getting the ones that match with the hardware from the irish auto store. damn shame too. I still take offense to the ford comment lol I just hope ur not a dodge douche

Nice. I'm looking around for a 95-96 f2 oe 350 4 door 8 ft bed 7.3 diesel. If I find one with that "cant pass this up" price tag on it, I'll throw this no 'pick up' truck in the damn river lol

How much money are you lookin at if you go spend an hour or 2 pulling manifolds from a wrecked truck or buying a set of headers? even the headers for a v6 should be less than 300$

Yea, I looked But the ones near me haven't had one in the last month. The manifolds aren't the expensive part. It's the direct fit catalytic converters. God damn emissions state catalyticthe Irish auto parts store hooked me up, all the parts hardware for $800 out the door
