I would imagine that they have or are working on ramping up the mail inspection process. I just don't think people are going to be able to get away with this forever. I don't necessarily think that the authorities will be able to squash professional smuggling efforts, but drugs sent in an envelope? I don't think this is gonna fly forever. Thoughts?

This has been going on for many years. Long before internets. They simply cannot inspect every single package for drugs, it would slow down their whole operation.

you need a federal warrant to search mail. i don't see that changing. and the post offices can barely handle their load with all the defunding that's been happening.
i've had someone order me something once. i'd do it again if i knew how to do it 200% safely, assuming i had money for drugs.

I have done nearly 50 transactions totaling thousands of dollars over the years. Never got screwed or ripped off once. Got some bunk stuff twice, got refunded.

my main concern would be the post office itself as in getting the mail. they have shit for brains where i live. nothing of significant value has been lost yet, but they've dropped the ball enough for me to hesitate for that reason alone. oh well. i don't have money for anything anyway.

Shit, bitcoins were over $700 a pop last I remember, and they're half that right now. I guess I had hoped buying BTCs was as simple as paypal, where you can just buy a visa gift card with cash and use that to buy them without a link to a bank account. There's probably a way but I haven't done the research. Anyone know how to do this?
Take your purchased bitcoins and run them through a tumbling service. This will return to you completely random (sometimes brand new) bitcoins that are not tied to your bank account. Have these "laundered" coins deposited into a new bitcoin wallet that is completely unrelated to the one used to originally purchase them.

As far as I know, there's nothing unique about the addresses a wallet generates, so there's no need to use a completely different wallet; just use a different address.

Don't send the laundered coins back to an address that is generated by the BTC exchange you bought the coins from (like Coinbase). That defeats the purpose of the coin laundering. Send it to an anonymous address not tied to any of the bitcoin exchanges. The exchanges DO monitor where bitcoins come from and where they go. NEVER send bitcoins to a DNM straight from an address tied to an exchange that has your actual personal info.

OK, but you spoke of wallets, not just wallets hosted by exchanges. There are downloadable wallets that are not attached to any exchage.

But there's nothing unique about DNM addresses. They're just randomly generated addresses, just like every other bitcoin address. No one but the person who logs into the DNM knows that that BTC address belongs to the DNM.

Everybody that sends coins to that address knows it belongs to a DNM. Including law enforcement. Send your coins from an address you create from a second anonymous wallet not tied to an exchange. Otherwise, you're just basically handing yourself over to law enforcement on a silver platter.
This link will show you the addresses from the Middle Earth Marketplace's wallet and their daily balances. Also, notice how the bitcoins are being drained. Middle Earth is likely closing up shop and I would NOT buy anything from them right now.
The routine is like this:
You have two wallets: A and B.
Wallet A resides with your BTC exchange of choice. We will assume Coinbase for simplicity. Wallet B is a totally anonymous wallet you created that is not tied to Coinbase or any exchange.
1. Purchase your coins from Coinbase and they will be deposited into an address in wallet A. 2. Send your coins from wallet A to a BTC tumbling service and have them automatically deposited into an address in wallet B when the tumble is complete. (They will charge a small fee for this) 3. Use the address from wallet B to purchase your goodies on the DNM.

But the process of adding money to one's DNM account involves sending money to a BTC address unique to your DNM account -- and no one knows about that address but you. That address can only be found after one logs in to his DNM account...
