I'm quite sure some of the things I've heard about being on the deep web or the "dark or shadow web" wouldn't be available on the surface web. I. Talking about stuff like "red rooms" where people pay money to be able to watch and make films depicting real murders and rapes and torture to gruesome and vile extents worse than the average person can imagine. Look up the story on something called daisys destruction. I do not advise trying to find the video on the shadow web either. There's websites dedicated to animal torture and mutilation as well where people videotape themselves to terrible things to poor helpless animals and the same goes for sites of similar nature but with children. It's terrible and I wouldn't want to stumble upon something like that guy accident especially the child porn sites apparently there's a few of these marketplaces that offer CP on top of the drugs and weapons but if the fbi catches you on those sites with CP your royally fucked. Or so I hear. I also hear that there's a lot higher chance of getting all your information stolen by hackers on there who will also mess with you cause they are sick fucks. I've heard and read stories about people going on there and not really knowing what they are doing and then some hacker apricots them and starts to tell them the persons personal information like their full address name social security number and basically everything about you. And that's some scary shit. Not to mention the infamouse site called pink meth.
Look up a guy on YouTube with the name "takedownman" he has lots of bideos on there about the dark side of the deep web.
What the fuck are you talking about? You can find that shit on the regular internet. Luka Magnotta put videos of himself on the clearnet chopping up some asian student and raping her body parts. Look him up. He's in prison now. I understand you haven't seen this shit, but you clearly don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

I don't make any sketchy purchases on the internet and have a pretty vague idea of what exactly makes up the 'deep web'. The only illegal drug I use is weed and that is not difficult at all to find locally.

Yeah I have no interest in recreational synthetics any more either. Not too too concerned about knowing who grew the weed I buy, that would be ideal but I'm not too worried about it not being what I think it is.

I do know what I'm talking about clearly you don't. What your talking about sounds a lot like the video 1 lunatic 1 ice pick, wich can also be found on the clear net or the video 3 guys one hammer. These are gore and shock videos that basically only an idiot would upload themselves doing because it's so easy to trace the people who upload those kinds of things on the clear net and thats how they get caught.
The deep web is all about being anonymous so people go a lot farther than that with things just because they can and it wouldn't be traced backed to them. Other use it for financial gain as well with these site where you have to pay a fee just to enter the site. You can pay to write a script involving anything you want in it murder rape torture, you pick the victim and everything and then a guy films himself portraying the acts out for you in real time all for a fee. You tell me a website on the clear net that offers that type of stuff. I feel as though you would have a hard time finding one.
And I apoligize for some of my typing being messed up I'm on an iPad and it autocorrects things the wrongs way sometimes.

How much longer do you think people will be able to get away with ordering drugs off the Internet? I just find it to be unbelievable that you can just order heroin to your door.

Last time I poked around was with SR at full operation and getting ripped off buying bitcoins seemed like more of a risk than anything. Shit, bitcoins were over $700 a pop last I remember, and they're half that right now. I guess I had hoped buying BTCs was as simple as paypal, where you can just buy a visa gift card with cash and use that to buy them without a link to a bank account. There's probably a way but I haven't done the research. Anyone know how to do this?

I looked into it awhile back, what I found is you either meet up with someone in person and get them that way, or there are a couple of sites that will give you bitcoins for gift cards, but the exchange rate is terrible. The highest I saw was like 60 cents to every dollar. No way I'm doing that.
I signed up to a bunch of different places trying to find one that would accept a visa gift card and no bank account and give you a fair exchange rate. I found none. Almost every single one required a banking account one way or another.
I've never seen it around here, but there is something that some retail stores carry that basically works like getting a gift card from what I can tell. LibertyX.
I've pretty much just given up. It just occured to me to get convoluted but I haven't looked it up so I have no idea if it would work. But buy gift card > transfer to paypal > find a bitcoin exchange that accepts paypal and doesn't require a bank for verification purposes.

Real people by coins direct from the exchange or a marketplace directly. Normally only costs you about 1-5%.
Why is it so hard to believe, you get such unbelievable range and its all done through the relative safety of the internet behind encryptions, tor, bitcoins ect. Poses almost 0 risk for consumers.

It's not so simple to do without linking the transaction to your bank account. I gave up pretty quick before, but I will definitely do more research on the paypal route as mentioned above by shroomslip.

Really? pretty much every market and exchange ive ever seen wont even LET YOU pay with your bank account. Its all done with cash deposits.

Wow, you suck at doing research. Ever heard of Coinbase, BitStamp and Circle?
And why the concern that a particular set of bitcoins can be linked to a person's bank account? The process of buying credit on the dark net sites involves sending bitocins to an address unique to your account. So there's no way for law enforcement to know that someone has sent money to a dark net market (DNM). The DNMs do not use one single public address. When you buy credit on a DNM, it just looks like any old BTC transfer. So why the concern? Not to mention the fact that they have bitcoin washing services (and the true necessity of them is questionable), where you send in your coins and get back the same amount of coins from an enumerable number of sources.

There's a check cashing place in my area with a bitcoin logo on it. I would guess that you can just walk in and buy bitcoins for cash, but I never had any reason to look into it.
