Im not computer savvy, would like to set up an email account that does not have my full name when I send someone an email. I use Outlook, I assume I would have to set up the account outside of my outlook email. I have googled this question and followed their instructions.

You can make an email with a fake name. There is no way for a email provider to know if you're giving them a real or fake name.
If you just want to use an old email then you'll have to figure out where the settings to change outgoing emails are.

Who are you trying to hide your identity from? The person you're sending the message to or you want it anonymous from any prying eyes of the government or what? Because simply not having your name on it will not mean that anyone couldn't figure out where it came from. If you just didn't want your name on it, that's extremely simple and you can just go in change the account details and remove your last name. If you want it anonymous look into download Tor and Google anonymous email, there are a bunch of email services, although any email you set up and ONLY access through Tor should be anonymous, assuming you don't give revealing info in the emails you send.

Im hiding my ID from the person Im sending the email to. With outlook, I have to have a last name, yes I could use a fake name. I guess Ill make a new email outside of my outlook email and use a fake name, all the emails Ive tried so far need a something types into both boxes, Ill try an initial in the last box.

Safe-Mail.net is the only one I know of that allows you to not put anything as the display name. But you need to pay to get a decent amt. of space on Safe-Mail. I also think many software programs for email allow you to forcibly remove the display name that services impose on users.

Personally I like the idea of using an email provider that doesn't force a user to put a name!
