    #21909026 - 07/07/15 10:12 AM (8 years, 6 months ago)

Bosque Oreomunea is a cloud forest which has lots of oak and the endangered tree Oreomunea.  It is a great habitat, lots of Psilocybe, rare Amanitas, unknown boletes and glowing Mycenas.

Galerina sp.

Before last night we had only seen this one in Oaxaca.

Clavariadelphus sp.

Ophiocordyceps gracilioides

Growing on a Coleoptera larvae.

Asterophora parasitica

Growing on an old Russula.

This little red Cortinarius species is common in cloud forests at the base of oaks.

Amparoina spinosissima primordia

Mycena sp.  Growing on a Liquidambar tree. Only the stems glow.

Mycena sp.  Growing on an Oreomunea leaf.

Mycena sect. Sacchariferae

Waiting for dark

Blair witch

Ok, it's dark now

You can!  The location is defined on mushroomobserver.org.  Google maps the exact place, and when you get to the locked gate park and walk the final half mile up hill.
