yep it has to be dried out then pasturized. i get it at the garden section of an aussie supermarket. if your garden stores dont have it,they're useless.

Is leeching really that hard? I know of a few cow pastures where Im sure theres dung, but I was told I cant use it until i leech it. Can you explain the leeching process, is it necessary? Wouldnt leeching it wash away nutrients? I'll keep calling places but if I cant find any in the next couple of hours Ill just go get some from a field.

A lot of the garden centers are telling me they dont carry it because pure dung will burn the plants so they only sell it mixed with compost.
How do you leech? Must I leech?

if leeching means pasturizing no its easy, after drying it you add enough water so its 'field capacity'(can hold a ball without dripping)then you fill a pillow case and heat it at 160-170 deg far. for a couple of hours. some have said here that they put the poo in trays(foil or cake tins) and heat it to 170 in the oven.i havent done this yet but i will be next time. it doesn't lose any nutrients because it isn't cooked at the boil.

I never understood how poo can hold its shape so im tempted to do the oven pasturization method. I figured poo would be like dirt and just turn to brown water. Does the water reach a point where it cant absorb anymore poo or does the poo hold it shape like a giant melted marshmellow?
