ID help
    #21906152 - 07/06/15 05:18 PM (8 years, 6 months ago)

I found some mushrooms on my trip to Montenegro, I picked them hopping to come back home and take a pictures to use for ID, unfortunately by the time I got home the mushrooms were squished and had deformed so posting a picture would be no help.

Habitat:
I found these mushrooms growing on dung, in an olive tree forest, the forest was about 300m away from the cost of the Mediterranean sea.

Gills:
The gills were attached to the bottom of the cap.

Stem:
Long stem same texture and color as cap, appears to be hollow inside. They have appeared to have turned brown.

Cap:
The cap had a ovate shape, it was white and the top looked very smooths.

Spore print color:
I was unable to obtain a spore print.

Bruising:
After being in my pocket they had turned black, not sure of this is brusing or they picked up color from my shorts, unfortunately I had nothing else to put them in.

Other information:
The scent of the mushrooms is VERY similar if not identical to other psychedelic mushrooms I have eaten. The olive forest was by a road on a hill, the Mediterranean is about 300 meters down hill, the climate was very hot and sunny when these were found, about 30 degrees, and ranged from 25-30 the past few weeks, they were found yesterday(June 6th) they were spaced about 10-15 centimeters from each other.

Try to find some more and get pictures this time - bring a camera so you can get some in their natural habitat before you disturb them.

I am not able to go back to the place where I picked these and I had already pick all of them up, it was a old dung pile( it started turning white) and they were only growing there, I looked around for more but there weren't any.
