Making Neat Holes in Filter Disks for Ships?

I was gonna avoid SHIPs but my time is limited and I don't want to start over because of bad cultures. So, SHIPs it is. There are of course many teks.
I thought why not just use the whole filter disc like RR lids. Then, it would require a lot less gluing--just for the SHIP and not for the filter part. I hate gluing!
But then I would need a way to cut neat holes in the filter discs and lids. I've done the lids before with forstner bits but the filter discs are another issue.
My first thought is to trace the holes, fold them perfectly in half at the diameter mark, and cut with a fresh, sharp razor blade. What do you think? Any other ideas?

Im confused. You are going to put a whole sfd under the lid then make a hole in the sfd so you may inject past it?
If so, bad idea.

Just cut or drill a hole and apply high heat silicone. It's pretty simple. If you are talking about just stabbing through the filter then that negates the filter.

Sorry, I suppose I didn't spell everything out. I'm trying to make one gluing step instead of two. It would still be necessary to silicone seal the interface for the injection port which would be three layers in this case: port, filter, then lid. I just wouldn't have to glue over GE ports because the filter disk would still be sealed under the lid ring.
I may try one and if it doesn't turn out well maybe I'll just cope with the extra gluing and save on filter disks or use syringe filters.
One thing I've never liked about syringe filters and large hole filter ports is that grain or pieces of grain may contact them. I've even had a small grain of bird seed lodge in an injection port from shaking. But, last night I figured this problem out. All I have to do is put a piece of tyvek on the inside as a disposable filter cover.

But, the real point is that I wanted to know about making neat holes in filter disks!
I've made fancy SHIP lids with exotic filters before that worked well--I know plenty about them

Why not just use silicone? Nothing gets stuck in it because it's flat and it's dirt cheap. I have a couple dozen jars with silicone ports and they have never been an issue.

I have always doubted the longevity of silicone injection ports but I've never put them to the test either. Certainly, it would make things simpler.
